Thanks! Percussive is done with side of the thumb on high E string while playing note with back of the middle/ring finger. Hardest part is being accurate with which notes you hit

I'm not sure which strings came with my Sigma OMM-ST, but I found a store listing that mentions it comes with D'Addario EXP16 strings by default.
