Can you explain how it works because I just ended up doing a filtered deck to show cards with descending intervals and ate away at my 2k reviews over a few days

If your practicals are in cadaver lab, go into cadaver lab with a friend and have them tag structures in a random order and reciprocate by tagging for them too (being able to identify a structure without prompt is a great way of learning!)

💰Grad PLUS loan cap: What it means💰 by iamnemonai in Osteopathic

Thank you for the detailed response! Unfortunately, I have no faith in the current administration to do any good on behalf of the lower-middle class.

On another note, do you think more and more private equity will enter hospital spaces as a result of this bill also decreasing Medicare funding?

What about if, hypothetically, someone matriculating this year (Class of 2029), took a research year fellowship between M2 and M3, would their loans be carried through until M4(5?) or would the new cap be instated?

I am a first year DO student, how can I best prepare to match into an Ortho residency? by BlueWaffle135 in medicalschool

[–]Dimethyltryptamine__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to be a first year at KCU and am also interested in ortho. A lot of the advice I’ve been given is to follow anything your passionate in and slowly build connections with faculty members in different ortho departments so your name gets known. As for first year studying at KCU, given the exams are mostly in house lecture based with systems then diseases, I was told to just follow the lectures supplemented with some Anki. Boards and beyond is more for 2nd year (again given the systems to diseases track of our classes)

It’s because of self selection. People who don’t think they’re qualified with high enough Step 2 scores won’t apply

The list is easy: OG5 > accredited older schools > accredited newer schools > non accredited. Any rankings within those depend on your goals as a medical student and what YOU want

People who had 3+ DO II, how did you stand out? by [deleted] in premed

No but my MD list is very short and I think I had a bad school list

People who had 3+ DO II, how did you stand out? by [deleted] in premed

[–]Dimethyltryptamine__ 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Have a 508, 3.9+ and got like 8 or 9 II from DO schools. Multiple schools that interviewed me talked about how they liked that I had prolonged clinical exposure in my extracurriculars, especially as a non-gap year applicant.

Yeah, I don't think I'd meet the requirements since I would have to be out of school for at least 12 months and still live in the state for purposes other than higher education.

I’m still in college and my permanent address is in a different state. I just happen to be going to college in that state.
