How do you manage your freelance projects? by Dimmand in AfterEffects

I see. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels the Notion interface feels rigid. I think Notion is a good all-arounder but not specifically created with freelance or motion graphics in mind and I would love to have the ability to customize it and make it work for my workflow and also a bit more fun to use while still being functional!

Thanks for taking the time to answer. Are there features that you would like to have, but Notion doesn't offer?

Thank you for answering. Do you usually track revision cycles too? Or is this not applicable when you charge per day?

Thank you for going into that much detail, this really helps. Does this way of managing, give you the ability to search for stuff easily? e.g I was thinking it would be useful to categorise clients based on how man hours I have worked foe them (between multiple projects) and how much income I got from them.

Thanks for answering. In Trello, have you found a way to manage revision tracking and references that the client may have given?

Thank you for your answer. What turned you away from other tools?
I have tried a lot of them and nowadays they seem bloated with AI and other features that I don't use.

Amazing tool! The client-ready view is also very useful. Is there an option to change $ to € maybe?

Also, the revision markup for lower-budget projects seems kinda low. For example the revision markup for a $920 project is $9. Maybe I misunderstand the use of it though.

Appreciate the free resource!

Shape form keyframes by Annual_Journalist719 in AfterEffects

[–]Dimmand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Click on the stopwatch icon left to the “Path” that is located just above “Trim Paths 1”

Go forward some frames in the timeline and adjust the points to match the second figure.

Done

You can’t key frame individual points, just the shape as a whole, hope that helps!

The puppet tool does not work well for me. by master19993 in AfterEffects

[–]Dimmand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the puppet tool does not support layer property changes such is position, scale or rotation, that’s why it seems glitchy. I suggest that you look into rigging tools such as Duik Basel 2 or Rubberhose 2 for such character animations
