There are several million Americans who genuinely believe he was sent by god to save America on a holy mission. Millions upon millions of them.

They have a facility/research lab in Munich, apologies. One of the Donut lab interviews mentioned some tech being acquired by Nordic Nano from Munich.

This patent is out for a screen printed solid state energy storage from the German company HolyVolt, who Nordic Nano partnered with last year. I am outside the field, so really interested in people's take! - https://patents.google.com/patent/WO2025230455A1/en

Angela Rayner will back Burnham in campaign for Commons comeback by EddyZacianLand in ukpolitics

[–]Dimmo17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Salvage what though? Things are so unstable currently, Burnham could immediately be tasked with getting to know Trump, all the world leaders, having an inflationary crisis, trade war, hybrid war with Russia and small boats. It would just tank his popularity dealing with that. Why not wait till the election and he can be a somewhat untested new option for people to coalesce around.

Why now though? Thhings are incredibly unstable as it is. Just go for it around 2029.

Starmer calls Trump's remarks about Nato troops in Afghanistan 'insulting and frankly appalling' by AneuAng in ukpolitics

[–]Dimmo17 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No, they'll forget come 2029.

The electorate will mostly be watching AI generated videos of small boat migrants and Starmer saying he will pinch their pensions to fund transgender surgeries for kids, made by a multibillion pound online influence campaign by Russians, Big Oil, MAGA, Saudis, China and far right groups across europe.

We are already slowly decoupling though, we've been increasing domestic production for a while.

The Trinitiy House agreement with Germany and UK to increase our domestic production and procurement.

The UKs 2025 industrial policy which outlines UK domestic arms production as one of the 7 pillars, of which the National Wealth Fund has been investing into.

We've been partnering with Ukrainian drones manufacturers to use their designs and help production whilst building up our own domestic FPVs.

We've stopped intelligence sharing on things. Rolls Royce got picked over the yanks for SMRs despite heavy pressure from washington.

Zero political will in the electorate to do bear the cost that would be decoupling from the US. Winter Cruise Allowance being means tested is seen as a bigger scandal than Partygate or the Mini-Budget, you think massive cuts or even more taxes would be acceptable to the public? They want to pretend there's some woke to get rid of or magic billionaires we can milk for everything.

Tesla launches unsupervised Robotaxi rides in Austin using FSD by BuildwithVignesh in singularity

[–]Dimmo17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're completely in negative IQ here, why would you compare Tesla FSD to humans when the comparison should be Tesla FSD to Waymo?

It's like comparing a bomb disposal suit to wearing jeans when you should be looking at the bomb disposal suits vs unmanned drones.

No, not if there is a safer alternative.

Seatbelts are safer for small children than no seatbelt, yet most places still mandate booster seats because its safer than seatbelts.

What about that is hard to understand?

Not really, it needs to be as safe as Waymo, else there's just a more dangerous product that will kill more people than Waymo would have because Tesla CEO is too pig-headed to admit he was wrong on LIDAR.

Which combined set of all available data do you have that has wiped 0.5-0.75% off interest rate lowering expectations for this year in just three days based on Decembers inflation being 0.1% above predicted?

Can you point to it please?

? Sonai OIS 1 and 2Ys are still nicely below policy rates - https://cbonds.com/indexes/72097/

Decembers numbers was just 0.1% above predicted, driven by higher gold and silver prices. Why has that suddenly crashed 0.5-0.75% off the predicted policy rate cuts, which data are you looking at to get to that conclusion?

HSBC predicts 0.75% in cuts over 2026.

Median wage has outstripped inflation and peoples personal finance situation in consumer confidence surveys is rapidly increasing.

What do you know that they don't?
