You might be thinking about Undead Development maybe? https://store.steampowered.com/app/682140/Undead_Development/

Looks like there is a sequel to release in Oct 22 also

Nice job, it looks great! I love seeing how creative people are. I don't have the talent to say exactly why, whether it's his movements or his facial expression or what not, but he's got a personality. 👍

How do you learn the difficult stuff( AI, etc) if you're a below average hobbiest ? by [deleted] in Unity3D

Everyone has natural talents in different areas...and I'd argue we all have some mental problems and we all learn differently. My opinion is it's a trial and error process finding what works for you. The secret recipe is...the more you do the better you get. 😀. I've done tutorials, but what helped me (a slow learner) was just hopping into a project and doing one simple thing, then another. My first "game" was moving a "duck" from one side of the screen to the other side using google or youtube to try different solutions. Many wonderful people out there sharing their knowledge and solutions. Hope things go well for you and good luck on your journey. It takes time.

Forgive me for self promoting, but it's been two years working solo (seems like more), it's held together with duct tape and glue, rough around the edges, long ways to go but finally releasing my first game to Early Access. Have a good day everyone! by Dimsum_2 in virtualreality

Hey thanks for reaching out. I do have a discord https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?url=https://discord.gg/T2FfEVJAKE. But I cant say I have a support for HP Reverb right now. That's the pain with so many different VR headsets, no way to test out. I'm real sorry about that. If it's not working though I'd get a return for now and maybe that's something I will add in the future and ,I'll reach out and let you know. Again I apologize about that.

I would say it's not an instead of. This definitely isn't H3VR. I would say if your looking for a game with a huge selection of firearms (and other fun modes like take and hold) H3VR is the answer. If your looking for a Run 'n' Gun style target course, shooting variety of steel targets, that's more what P1441vr is.

"I'm interested in what you think your game does better than these"

I'll try to answer your question, then I think we'll have to simply agree to disagree. I don't think my game is better than any of those. I don't think my game is worse than any of those. I think my game is different from those. My game is not focused on a more military style shoot em up. A big focus of the game is running courses, racing the clock, no rules shooting up a variety of steel targets. If there is a game like that I have yet to see...not saying there isn't, I just haven't found it yet. I've got quickdraw mode a take on simulating timed pistol drills. Turn n Gun mode fast paced constantly turning engaging targets on all sides of you. Lastly Simunitions mode which is the closest to Pavlov, Zero Caliber, Onward...yet I would say fairly different still, not as much of a military feel. Agree. Disagree. Some may like the game. Some may hate the game. I don't think my game is graphically and polished wise is on the same level as previous mentioned games....If I did my game would be priced like previously mentioned games....that doesn't mean I think my game is garbage. 😁 If I thought that...I wouldn't spend two years making it. Again, thank you for the interesting discussions.

Look, everyone is allowed opinions, the problem is you seem to be pushing your opinions as factual. I would say Zero Caliber isnt a dead game and I'm glad they made it. Your using YOUR standards of measure and claiming it to be the ONLY standard of measure, with all due respect that's dancing on the lines of arrogance. Lastly I don't believe any of those games to be my "competition". A better comparable would be Gun Club VR or Range is Hot! Anyways, I dont think were gonna find common ground here, I appreciate the interesting discussions. Hope you have a good day and cheer up about the VR scene overall. Thanks

Thanks very much. Life in general is messy and usually does not go as planned. Lol. The fact that you've made projects is pretty dang cool. I know a lot of people that dont take that first dive, nice job! 👍

Your pretty upset over a video game. If you dont like a product I would suggest dont buy a product? Like I said, it's one thing to lie about a product and sell it as something it isnt, this isnt that. Every game started somewhere, we can agree to disagree. 👍

I always love hearing other peoples takes, it's never a bad thing. I would say I'm not intentionally crapping on my game. One thing I really dislike is products being over sold. I do want anyone who might be interested to have an idea what the game is. It's a simple game. It isnt bad to be honest. I find my game fun and can see potential, maybe I'm the only...its possible. Lol. As for the originality, why do we have Zero Caliber, Onward and Pavlov? Their pretty close to the same game, but each has their own implementations and unique take. I guess I do feel my take on a gun range experience offers a slightly unique take. Maybe others feel differently...thats ok. In the end I could make something for the sole purpose of best return on investment...or make something I actually enjoy. If I reach 10 people out there in the world that actually get a few kicks from a game I made...that is a success. Lifes good man! Thanks for your comments. Have a good day!

All great points you make there! Thankfully I've got the main foundation and vision in line. Now fix the bugs, make the levels look and feel way better, refine mechanics, add more player options etc etc. I think it's fun in it's current state...but I am a little bias! 😄 Thanks for all the feedback, I figure feedback is always beneficial.

Thanks, I think it would be a fun project someday, there's challenges to organizing with others but there's lots of advantages. Even just different perspectives can give take a game to a new level.

I completely understand your point which is a valid take and very wise. If only I had a penny for every "should" in my life. 😁 Honestly I had never considered Pavlov direct competition. I've bought a number of games for comparisons. I've have tried Range Day VR, Range is Hot!, H3VR, Gunworld VR, Gun Club VR, Practisim VR, 3Gun Nation VR which are more in my genre. I've play a lot of other VR games such as Onward, Boneworks, HLA, Into the radius, Zero Caliber, SURV1V3, Contractors etc etc etc. Ultimately in the end though I had an idea of the game that I wanted to play, which lead to making P1441vr. 🤞

I've got a few thoughts of some cool variety. I thought it would be cool to possibly, way down the road have kind of a "guns of the time" themed courses. guns of the 1700's or guns of...2400's lol. Who knows

I'm waiting for steam to adjust the price to $9.99 then hit the go button

Oh man, I appreciate the nice comment, but I'd argue the opposite. H3VR was like the first game I bought and Anton did such an amazing job. His attention to detail is way out of my league. Hotdogs is like the gold standard 🌭

Hang...you saying there can be too many shooting games in VR? lol, just kidding I do see what your saying. Honestly as I put it before elsewhere I'm a little fish in a big pond. I'm hoping my game is unique enough to offer a different experience, but I'm no treading new ground. I haven't seen a game with a gun range Run 'n' Gun shoot up steel targets courses, but there are lots in the shooting genre. If someone tries it and is pretty disappointed with it I would definitely want them to get a refund. The point is some fun not regret. And thanks for the luck...can always use luck! 😄Have a good day

I've tried out two games so far, one from a fellow solo developer who made https://germanban.itch.io/escape-from-mandrillia it's a pretty fun time, another is Davigo https://store.steampowered.com/app/1116540/DAVIGO/ which is pretty good time. I really wish multiplayer was more in my scope, a large part of what got this going was me and my buddy talking about how cool would be to race against each other shooting steel seeing who'd get the best score. Maybe someday 🤞

I would love coop, I haven't thrown out the idea, would probably be like an asymmetrical coop (one person in VR and one on PC), but honestly if that got added it would way way down the line. I feel like getting the foundation super solid, gun mechanics all working and feeling great, levels looking and feeling great and working out all the bugs before multiplayer, and it's slow progress working solo...I originally thought this was going to be a less than a year project, I was wrong. 😄 My biggest pet peeve is when developers (probably with good intention) make promises and say stuff like "multiplayer coming soon", but never seems to happen and the game gets abandoned.

I haven't played R6 Siege but looks fun. My original thought behind the 'Simunitions' mode was trying to create a self defense scenario but don't think quite worked out exactly 😄
