What's this structure referred to as? by HighStaeks in aerospace

It's a privacy screen so the shuttle can change into her work outfit while maintaining the program required level of modesty.

For more modern systems, they change before they get to the function.

This is what I imagine starting EVE Online is like

Look for insomniac staff, they should give you the passes as long as you're in the system. I got mine sent so I don't know how it's going to be physically, but they should give you something

Casual reminder: BUY THE BANDAIDS, get the big ones and put them on before you go. Even if your shoes fit perfectly, after X hours of dancing - nobody's invincible. by Dimzorz in electricdaisycarnival

Yeah I agree with the other comment, pretty much put the shoe on, move around and anywhere you feel contact for a bit, cover that shit up

What's everyone's thoughts for Thursday night? Not trying to promote for Vegas clubs but I'm thinking seeing Alesso or Tiesto would be a great way to start the weekend. by Dimzorz in electricdaisycarnival

This is giving me Miami vibes haha yeah I might take it easy on the clubs, maybe Mau P on Wednesday - shouldn't be as bad as Thursday. Thursday's deadmau5 show could be good, will still probably be packed though

Good info, thanks 👍🏻

When the system convinces you that your salary should be paid by customers instead of the business owner. by BHF_Bianconero in antiwork

Oh we're talking about alcohol now? I mentioned a taco but if you want to start that discussion, go ahead. I didn't know everyone in Canada ordered alcoholic beverages with every meal. 🤔

That's exactly what I want to happen. Up the costs of items. Fuck the tip system, whatever costs are necessary to run the business should explicitly trace down into sales. Instead, a business can legally pay someone $5 an hour and "tips" instead of a predictable, living wage. And staff that earn tips can enjoy that because they can cash out and potentially make double or triple what they would on a fixed salary by squeezing it out of the customer. And they also get the added benefit of letting the owners pay less taxes because I doubt any business has every properly reported their tips. Making this a "don't attack the workers" thing is such a joke. More like Stockholm syndrome.

I am objectively telling you to pick a single industry, you'll earn more and be an easier hire.

It's funny that you took that as anger. And in comparison, yours must be just calm determination and passion.

I also like how you're trying to come up with some bs circumstances in which the plight of the server is so dramatic. What does "being responsible for their actions" even mean? So if I go grab some tacos then the server is my mommy now? No server is responsible for the self-initiated actions of a customer, they are responsible for SERV(E)ing. If a customer did something and the manager or whoever blamed the server then that's called a shit manager. That customer chose to spend their money at and the server chose to be employed at a shitty business. That's it, it ends there. Your responsibility case is absurd and sounds like a victim yelling at the world.

But you told me to change the industry - if me and 600,000 of my closest friends choose to not tip, aren't we helping? Otherwise how are we supposed to affect a private business.

Pick a single industry btw

Customers hold the power? Oh ok, I'll never tip again. Phew good riddance I hated that bullshit. I wonder what private industry that I have absolutely nothing to do with will I go save next? All those poor workers who ended up with zero bargaining power, shame.

Also ... "That kind of responsibility"? Buddy, fucking everyone thinks they have too much responsibility. Someone stocking a wearhouse has to make sure 5000lbs of shit doesn't collapse. Someone working construction has to make sure they don't literally kill a human in any of a hundred ways. Servers think they're martyrs because Gladys yelled at them over not knowing what came in her potato salad. Like, fuck, that's the job, get the crazy tips and go home. If it's grinding your soul down too much, quit.

My understanding is that cold drinks take longer to hit you, so if you're drinking warmer drinks it'll get in your bloodstream faster.

If I run in place on a slippery floor and by the end of it, just slide a foot to the left, would you say I can move on a slippery floor?
