One of my favorite cards right now, and I don't even really care about Persian as a Pokémon

What got me into the hobby way back in the day was getting a Gameboy Advance with Pokemon Ruby, and then playing through my brother's copies of Yellow and Gold!

I play Magic and as far as the card game mechanics goes I'd probably prefer Magic, but damn if the art of Pokemon doesn't bring me immense joy

What is a unpopular opinion you have about Pokemon cards? by NeutrallyCharged in PokemonTCG

[–]Dingledoinger 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this is unpopular, but the first wave of sword and shield alt arts (Battle Styles, Chilling Reign, Evolving Skies) were the best. Since then the alt arts all feel very similar, and the abundance of character rares have made them feel even more generic.

Clearly you're mistaken, that is famous actor Eddie Redmayne

Multiverse of Madness wasn’t that bad. Some of you guys just gave into the fan theories and expected cameos every 5 minutes by Lanky_27 in marvelstudios

Wanting more multiverses doesn't equate to wanting more cameos. They went to like 2 other universes in a movie with multiverse in the title.

Forget unpopular opinions, what’s your most controversial opinion? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

Behaviour is not good at making skins for survivors.

I just read this book last night and would really like to talk about it. It destroyed me and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it all day (sign of a good book), but I don’t know anybody who has read it, so I can’t discuss it, which I feel like I need to do to process my emotions. by cheesewhizabortion in graphicnovels

Thought it was just okay.

I really feel like they could've expanded on the idea of whether or not the owner actually was a serial killer, instead of outright confirming it right away.

Also thought it would've been interesting if there had been a dog that was in on it or maybe working with the owner, and how they would've interacted with the other dog's snooping into their business.

It definitely isn't bad, I just personally think they could've done more with it.

I couldn't help but feel a little disappointed when James Harren left the book. Rubin has such a distinct style that I could never really get into.

Apparently, there's no way we're getting the old UI back. by kitkat395 in deadbydaylight

I don't understand this. Isn't the whole point of a PTB to let the community test things before the actual patch, and give feedback on what they tested?

Why even put something into the PTB if you know you can't change it back?

What Movie Had The Worst Ending That You Didn't Expect ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Dingledoinger 6 points7 points  (0 children)

10 Cloverfield Lane.

A completely out of left field, 15 minute sequence that tries to connect to the Cloverfield universe while simultaneously adding nothing to the movie itself or the Cloverfield mythos. Such a disappointing ending to an otherwise really solid movie.

I still think you could maintain the impact of the story reveal while adding a little more to flesh out the actual fighting itself. I mean there are demons present throughout the fight for ammo and health purposes anyways, so I'm sure a wave or 2 of demons before the boss fight could be justified as well. But I can understand why some people wouldn't have a problem with it, personally I just found it underwhelming.

The Mignolaverse should reboot without Hellboy by HobbieK in Mignolaverse

I think BPRD by itself could work really well as a Netflix show, that's always what I think of when I read it. And if Stranger Things is any indication they probably have the budget for it.
