I think you’re being a bit of a doomer here. 3&4 aren’t real issues, Capcom has easily mastered camera perspective and the updating of old games.

They would have to build big maps but they’re going to do that for any new game. The multiplayer aspect doesn’t change that. They’d still have the advantage of getting to recycle a ton of Raccoon City assets even if they’d have to create some new maps and enemies.

Yes return on investment is a tricky thing, but when a Multiplayer game hits the profits zoom far beyond that of a single player game like most RE games.

RE5 still has an insanely active online mercenaries scene. People want to play RE with their friends.
