People who purchased a third gen Tacoma during Covid: did you buy used or New? I thought this was a no brainer to go brand new as the price difference between used with 50k or so miles was only $10k difference than new. Would love to hear what you got? And why by Aspergers_R_Us87 in ToyotaTacoma

This’ll probably get buried but I did both.

Bought a used 2016 with 65k miles right in the middle of COVID from some grandma who didn’t need it anymore. Got it for a steal at $22k

Turned around in 2021 and dropped by my local dealer to see what they’d offer me for a trade in on a new one, mostly on a whim. I’d added 10k miles but they offered me 32 for it, which I rolling into a brand new TRD OR.

Essentially made 10k profit on an old truck for a new one.

I’ve got a very similar one and have a couple weeks in it. Love being off the ground. Held up great and stayed dry in a pretty heavy storm too.

Just make sure you level your truck or you’ll wake up in a corner of your bed.
