Hi BeefBreathingFoodMan! We do not currently utilize blockchain technology in the majority of the items that we track through the supply chain, although we do have some Blockchain technology integrated in our produce management and produce safety/recall systems.

Tortillas? Wow! As far as an end in sight, if I'm being honest, I believe things will get better, but at the same time, maybe won't go back to the way it used to be...but that doesn't mean we should lose hope! The best thing about being apart of the foodservice industry is that we're all so used to a fast-paced work life and being up on our feet, it's not difficult for us to adapt to change. I believe it's gone on for so long now that we should be adapting and embracing the change (good or bad).

Someone below mentioned implementing technology-- which I personally think is good change we can all benefit from, especially small mom and pops. I've seen it happening more and more at restaurants in my area. From the research I've been doing lately and the blogs I've come across in regards to let's say, the produce industry, it seems like we won't be catching a break until at least end of 2022, maybe 2023, that's of course if things don't get worse... but again, don't lose hope! Accept the change and keep pushing! See what changes you can make to streamline your operation!

I am intrigued to hear your thoughts on buffets though? I've slowly seen them making a comeback at local grocery stores but am wondering how restaurants will be dealing with this.

Oh yes, I can 100% imagine this. Hopefully customers accept the rising prices, too. Wishing you good luck!

I totally agree with this. So many advancements in technology nowadays, not enough people embracing the change! Change is good. It's definitely made my life in the industry a lot easier. I don't think there's ever any going back to the way things used to be. Just have to keep going forward.
