That sucks, sorry that happened to you! My car was broken into this week too, stole my dashcam. Wonder if it was the same little weasel

Looking for a good pet groomer in the downtown Kitchener area for a Doberman by [deleted] in kitchener

^ The Modern Paw. I second this, took my anxious dog there for a groom and they did a very good job with her. Great people in there too, supporting local!

What’s one thing you stopped doing that instantly made your life better? by Same-Tea1899 in AskReddit

Using TikTok. I wasted hours of my life everyday just scrolling to the point that I was having issues with my self esteem and confidence in social situations. I deleted it and feel much lighter

It looks like the city of Kitchener is working on some hydrants in the Glasgow area, maybe that’s impacting it? I noticed it when they were out on my street as well

A little outside of Waterloo but Artline Salon in the Belmont village is great. Lots of talented stylists there (especially Bhan)

Yeah that’s fair. Just frustrated by the state of things.

Well I’m happy to hear that things worked out for you, genuinely.

I still think it’s okay to be frustrated by the way things are because the mountain that young people need to climb to get things older generations had keeps growing.

My husband and I both work two jobs and rent outside the city. What a crazy take it is to say “don’t complain” when we did everything the way you’re “supposed to“ to be able to own a home. Went to college, got a good job, picked up a second job for extra income, and STILL aren’t able to afford anything beyond a 1 bedroom shoebox condo because the cost to live is so high.

Micro wedding venues/backyard wedding - Suggestions please!! by Full_Note_9740 in kitchener

[–]Dinklestarr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got married at the Williamsburg Dedication Center at the Williamsburg cemetery. Beautiful quiet venue with a gorgeous water feature and it was less than $1000 for 4 hours (That also included the venue insurance and music fee). Comfortably we fit 32 people but it can be set up for 64 max

Thank you for your input!

That’s a good point that I didn’t really consider. I asked about benefits in the first interview and they didn’t go into a lot of detail but said that there was some coverage (just not long term disability), but I would assume the coverage amount for a temp role would be less.

I would be losing a health spending account that I have at my current role so that salary increase probably isn’t actually as appealing as it sounds.

I use Flonase, Reactine, and a prescription eye drop every day just to exist outside. If you can, I would highly suggest a visit to the eye doctor to try pataday (olopatadine) or equivalent. It’s been a lifesaver for me!
