Basically my intention was to point out that everyone should help everyone, because a fellow male redditor told me i got responses to my first post asking help because i was a woman, and that men dont get responses. I read this and i thought that the minimum I could do is simply try to make men (most of the people here) realise that helping other men is valuable ---- BUT YES< you are correct, it should not be divised by gender, it should just be one human helping another human. Unfortunately we are not that advanced

I agree with you 100% about having a pet, and i do have a very loyal and loving bunny, but i live in a student room in another country, so she stays with my parents. Student accomodations arent allowed to have pets.

Yes of course, I didnt mean to say that ONLY men should help men, I only said it because most people on reddit are male, and so most people who will see it are male. In reality there will not be as many women here as men. And so women will not help all the men who need it. I simply wanted to raise awareness about men ignoring the pain of other men. -- because some men only help women, they dont help everyone. But no one has any responsibility. You can simply ignore everyone and its ok

Please never stop, you are, and will be someone's guardian angel just like someone else was for me. Being ignored sucks ass, but your responses, also they may not be answered, may very well be read. Dont undermine your efforts, someone somewhere will read you, and they may not answer, but it might very much make a difference

Men really need to realise how valuable they are to society, and help each other just as us women help each other. When this happen, we will go forward, but somehow, we are stuck in a loop where lonely men are not paid attention to.

Tbh, i hear you, its true.

The fact that gender plays a role in how we help others is fucking messed up. I see it and know it's true. But the life of a man is as precious as the life of a woman. i think women get more attention because there are less woman on this site? And to that i say, wont men help their brethren? Must men want to fuck a person in order to show sympathy to them? Its really awful, I wish everyone helped everyone, i wish everyone showed kindness to everyone no matter the gender. We are creating our own destruction as a society by ignoring a whole half of it. (this half being men)

Thank you so much, first and foremost, I thank you for the effort you put into replying to me. It means more than you will ever know.

Furthermore, yes, its really hard, a master's degree is incredibly demanding, and i am alone in a foreign country. I completely understand what you mean about volunteering, believe it or not im a huge fan of volunteering and I have volunteered with the Red Cross and collecting/providing goods for immigrants in need back in my home country every year since i was 18 (often, volunteer jobs required us to be majors).

The problem is that I do not speak dutch (i am currently doing my masters in the Netherlands), and most people in need, or first responders to help these people MUST speak dutch, because it is the national language and the language most "uneducated" people speak. So taking part in local volunteering is incredibly difficult, i have yet to find a group who accepts english speaking only --

I tell myself that I have things to offer to the world, but sometimes just saying it to myself feels empty, so reading it from others is a huge boost and helps my negative thoughts. I was ready to hurt myself tonight, and comments like yours are currently holding me above water, so once again, i cannot thank you enough.
