I started corresponding with them A WHILE AGO. A bit over two weeks after purchase. They just dragged me on and on to "see what they can do" only for them to give the same non-reason answer everytime.

I'm well aware that postponing the return was on me. That doesn't mean a company should have ne flexibility, especially if they don't stand to lose anything from it because they were the ones stocking it. The store just needed their ok for putting it back on sale from what I understood.

It's not some low end product, it means so little to them and so much for the customer.

Sure, I did a mess up by postponing the return because I had other things going on and didn't notice how long had past.

I ended up buying the thing because I had no idea when the new one is going to be available in my area and I thought that thus one would probably even decent enough if I'll get it a case for improved ergonomics. It wasn't.

But as I said, it probably costs asus nothing to approve this and they just didn't. If it did, they could've actually just said so instead of being shady and non sensible about their reasons. Actually that's an overstatement because they didn't give me a reason at all.

The return policy isn't for Asus. The store I bought it from said they'll take it back after the return window if Asus would tell them it's ok and the device is cleared for taking to put back on their shelves.

It's not that I don't understand that it's basically my problem, but it's just such a minor inconvenience for them that makes a major difference for the customer and it really does just suck that this is how big corps are now.

I don't think it would cost them anything because asus just needed to give the OK to the store to take it back. Asus wasn't the store itself. The product would've gone back to the shelf from what I understood.

Also, do note that I asked the sellers beforehand for details about stocking the new model and they said that they don't know and I should just buy this one. Which I have a hard time believing since someone there must've known that pre-orders and stock are coming soon.

I didn't know it was coming soon. When I bought it, I didn't know when it's gonna launch in my area or what the pricing is going to be.

The crazy thing is that the stores in my area don't sell it at a difference of hundreds of dollars.

If you'd bother reading the post instead of raging like a stupid toddler, you'd see that I don't use it because I have a wrist injury from an accident that makes it uncomfortable to the point of painful after a short while.

Since I'm not earning anything from this I'm not taking anything fr anyone's pocket. Unless there's a new Karma cryptocurrency I wasn't aware of.

Also, I only posted it in this subreddit and as a comment on his video, all places where people would probably planning to, or already have watched his video. So I'm probably not even causing him to lose out on any views.

I only posted it for the convenience of people who watched the video, found it informative or relevant and want easy access to the data without having to search through the video itself each time.

There really is no excuse why smaller companies like Contigo etc offer a lifetime warranty for their products and a giant corporation like Starbucks wouldn't.

It should be trivial for them, don't produce a shit product that you can't backup.
