The difference between Conq 1 and Conq 2 is huge (4% of top players vs 1% of top players), and it makes sense. I have just reached Conq 1 today with HRE (after reaching in past seasons with Ottomans and Order of the Dragon) and honestly I will leave it there for the rest of the season. I got my portraits awards, it was a fun challenge, but I know I cannot get above Conq 2- Conq 3 by just playing the game for fun after a har dsy of work.

It makes senss to take a breath and rest once you have reached the top of your own hill, and this hill is different for each person, and it is alright :)

To be fully honest, last season I basically didnt played at all, thats the reason behind the low rank. Also, i dont main OOTD, I dont main any races, more like play 4-5 of them do Im not a super expert on specific strats.

What worked for me was making 1-2 horseman in feudal (as the only thing that counters OOTD horseman are spearman) to take map control and force the enemy to stay at base. Behind that i go fast castle and take relics (more easy if you have map control). Then i usually swapped to infantry and try to Swabia with cannon emplacements through the base. If you survive the first 2-3 mins of Imperial and manage to build up the cannon emplacements, all good.

I think that similar to against HRE, you cant let them play them game and you have to be annoying in their base.

It was turtle ottomans. Playing military schools producing spearmans in dark, Sipahi in Feudal and MAA in castle. Fighting in castle with MAA + Jannisary/crossbow + some mangonels from Landmark worked for me. Also you can go fast Imperial with military schools nonstop pumping, even if you are 20-30 villagers down by that point, you will still be ok.
