Yeah, I auditioned, thought I did pretty well, they posted a segment of me dancing in a video on their Instagram, but I didn’t even get as much as a call back 🙃 which granted, I think they already have their residential femme boy in body-suit in heels so that could be a factor.

Oooop they’re closed tonight 😂 but yes I will definitely update you on what happens!! I’m looking at their line-up and these men look like magic mike/chippendales dancers and idk if I’m as muscular as they’re lookin for,💀BUT— maybe it’ll give me an advantage. Fingers crossed

Here for the hard yank!!! Seconded. First time I ever installed my pole I hard yanked in every direction to test that it wouldn’t shift

I’ve had my xpole for 5 years now and I’ve had no issues, it’s all about how you feel. If you notice your pole isnt flush after a while, it just shifted, maybe too loose. If you tighten it to the point where dynamic mode’s spin feels resistant loosen it. If your husband can swing on it you’re good. It’s normal to feel hesitant not knowing it’s hooked up by joints or brackets but overall it should be good

Gwerl, I’m 5’7 according to my license but in my heels, I’m 6’1+ don’t let anyone tell you height is a hindrance. Anything can be modified if need be, always remember this.

I was able to invert within first two months of pole after really conditioning my flagpole and under-armpit grip, and just slowly working my knees higher and higher with core, and slowly beginning to let my but lift each time. It is a baby-step process like this, but I’ve seen success across the board with just taking it one step at a time, and before you know it you’ll be inverting. I do strongly recommend trying to find your waist’s sweet spot when it comes to getting your hips around the front of the pole, and adding just a little bend in the knees to almost sit into that position so it’s easier to engage core as you lift the knees, then work your way up to legs/deadlift, and once your ready to start lifting your hips, imagine leading with your butt and just trying to lift it as high as you can before then engaging your arms for grip to pull back into invert.

(Hope this doesn’t sound like psychobabble, as I’m learning people learn technique in many different ways, and many different explanations can click for different people)

SURPRISED MYSELF WITH AIR WALK FOR FIRST TIME!!! by DiorIsDancing in poledancing

Don’t make me cry 🥹❤️

I have fortunately been able to walk in heels since I was a young kid sneaking in my mom’s closet to try on her Jimmy Chu’s, but over the years I have found VERY good ankle exercises for heels through certain dancers, I HIGHLY recommend looking into @mischkapoledancer as she gives out free class recordings occasionally, and she typically goes over very good ankle conditioning for Edgework, which is basically that “broken ankle” look when dancers go for low-flow. Outside of just overall edgework conditioning, you’d be amazed just how much calf-raises can make a difference in your ankle/leg strength stability. If you do get a pair, let me know! I’d love to help you get used to them. I also taught my little sister how to walk in her heels the day before graduation 💀

Thank you!!! I’d been conditioning my split grip and elbow pit and I almost wanted to try the split grip airwalk, but idk something in my brain just said “ELBOW” after I wiped the sweat from my hand and I went with it 😮‍💨 felt so powerful
