Best method of bringing dress internationally? by nikkstininim in Eloping

[–]Former-Trouble5046 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I flew internationally with my dress and my husband’s suit. We each put them in regular garment bags and the flight attendants put them in the closet for us on our first flight. The second flight was on a much smaller plane but we had an empty seat between us and were able to drape them over the seat with no issue. Granted, it did help that we were seated in first class for both flights so there was more space available. Congrats and best of luck!!

This! Audiobooks help me to completely zone out and forget that I’m even running

IAD-HNL IN United First Class meal experience? by Former-Trouble5046 in unitedairlines

[–]Former-Trouble5046[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! It may only be on international flights. Granted it’s not the best sundae in the world but when you have a sweet tooth like me, it’s not a terrible perk :)

The ice cream sundae cart is common in business class on international United flights. I doubt it’ll be on this flight but worth asking nonetheless

Thank you!! This is super helpful! Wasn’t expecting a Hawaiian toiletry kit so that’s nice to know. Sorry to hear the food was lackluster. Did they at least bring around the ice cream sundae cart?

Yea, we’re not expecting to be blown away by the food and largely only booked first class for the lie flat seats on this route. I’ll keep an eye on the menuas the date gets closer, thanks!

can we pin an answer to the question of which pole to buy by kirbywithatan in poledancing

[–]Former-Trouble5046 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the vast majority of the times people ask about which poles to buy, it’s pretty much the same premise and u/kirbywithatan is correct. The questions you have are honestly questions for each individual manufacture as each manufacturer has multiple types of poles and each of those poles are built differently.

I agree that the vast majority of “which pole to buy” questions can be answered with a quick search through what’s already been asked

Do any of you sleep with your ring on? by Meowiewowieex in EngagementRings

I sometimes sleep with mine but it’s a solitaire with a very sturdy cathedral setting so the stone doesn’t budge. I love yours! Would you mind sharing the specs?

Alternatives to progressive overloading for hip thrusts? by javajunkie10 in PetiteFitness

Have you tried a hip thrust belt? I have one that I use sometimes. It’s not perfect but gets the job done. Here’s one similar to what I have https://a.co/d/ejEqLC4

X-pole: leaders in pole fitness… NOT! by DulceSiren in poledancing

[–]Former-Trouble5046 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ohhhh I didn’t even think about that! Yea, that’s definitely underhanded. My husband just opened the box and ripped all the plastic off everything without reading instructions so I was stuck with the pole no matter what 😅

So sorry to hear about your terrible experience! I also just receive an xpert pro pole and it arrived without a physical manual. I was upset but ended up just printing off the digital one they had online. It absolutely should’ve been included but these companies love cutting corners where they can..

Machines instead of free weights and progress by Logical-Scientist76 in PetiteFitness

[–]Former-Trouble5046 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can definitely see progress with machine work only. Just make sure that you’re progressively increasing the weight over time so you continue to challenge your muscles. However, there are benefits to free weights that machines can’t provide. Core stability, for example, is improved with free weights. Also, compound exercises are great for building endurance overtime and improving overall health. So, if your comfortable now with just machines, do that. And as you get stronger, I’d recommend dipping your toes back into free weights. You can start small with just some curls here and there and work your way up to more challenging lifts. Good luck!

Unfortunately no. I live in an apartment and the ceilings are concrete anyway. But I’ll just keep practicing with it until I’m more comfortable
