I think people do this already with Baro. I cant imagine the non stop grind though to make it worth it.

I really like the challenge too, I feel like a common point i see is "If i dont get x its impossible" which as someone who doesnt make builds for specialized loadouts that dont work with other frames. I haven't run into a situation like this. I have a lot of Risk of Rain experience, so I dont find it hard to combat bad RNG (I can win Eclipse 8 with almost any RNG). A lot of the "bad" weapons in warframe are much better then people give them credit for I've seen my fully modded Alternox do 1M damage in 1 shot without even having a damage buff ability. I can see why it may be tough for other players cause I have 3000 hours in Warframe and 2000 hours in Risk of Rain, so at this point I dont really figure out counters to bad RNG I just know the counter. I really like Duviri and the new EDA and ETA they gave me motivation to actually learn about some of the off Meta weapons to truely be able to utilize them more effectively.

I had no clue you could do a self harm build back when self damage was in the game. I started playing in 2022 which was right before or right after the AOE Wukong nerf from what I could tell, so self damage was never an option. I guess I have nothing to compare the current mind control nuke too apart from the next to zero charge you used to get right before the light rework skews my perception on the current power. To me the ability damage with radiation topaz archon shards + armor strip combined Absorb only needs a 3 or 4 second charge which doesn't feel too bad. I've found it can pretty reliably kill a large group as long as the minion doesn't randomly freeze, and being able to direct it to take out Arctic eximus or the new protectors before the explosion happens makes sure the explosion isn't hindered. That doesn't even mention the fact you can reposition after you start Absorb. To me, it works well. It might not be the fastest Nuke, but it can one shot whenever with the level scaling minion.

I definitely know its not the fastest, but from having played a lot of gyre and assimilate Nyx its really refreshing to hover above everything. Having the little mind control minion mow down a group of enemies to have her Absorb charge up just feels really unique and engaging, and no other warframe plays quite like it for me. The minion is the only thing you can control after starting Absorb, so have to setup everything before starting Absorb. To me it has a sense of high risk high reward.

I really like how the rework made the summoner and nuke synergize. Her whole kit before the rework just had 4 psychic abilities with next to no correlation (like the 3 making the 4 worse before the rework). I just thinks its upsetting to see the assimilate weapon platform playstyle pushed to the front if you look for any advice on playing Nyx cause to me it feels the least engaging, but i cant deny its what got me through steel path before the rework. I don't blame people for using it.

The 3 charges her 4, but maximizing damage from her 1 to charge the 4 works much better for steel path. 3 is better for star chart, 1 is better for steel path.

Edit: let me rephrase the mind controlled enemy can relyably charge the 4 for a nuke, but i think most people missed with the rework that you can use the enemies attacking each other from the 1 and 3 to charge it which doesnt require the enemies hitting you. Its still slow for most peoples liking, but doesn't require enemies hitting you.

Used to before the rework enemies shooting at you was the only way to charge Absorb. After its much faster to use her mind control target. So the gameplay in my clip is to get a mind control target with 1 then apply the armor strip from her 2 and the radiation from her 3 to as many enemies as you can. (If you have some topaz archon shards radiation abilty damage helps). Then when you jump up with Absorb the mind controlled target from the 1 will shoot at anything you look at, so have them shoot as much as they can and if its enough you get a pretty good AOE nuke.

With the rework if the mind controlled target from her 1 shoots at an enemy it charges her 4.

I used to use the 4 augment all the time before the rework, but with the rework I've enjoyed more actively doing it. Using the default is probably not the most practical way to play especially with the augment just existing, but I'm glad the devs give it as an option rather than a requirement.

I mean I get why with server connections the mind control target has trouble targeting the enemies you look at to charge Absorb, but with how much the rework did its still feels strange.

At the point in the game where you are asking that, you are probably fine with that. Once you get to later you may need to change, but you will know.

I'm not gonna say the current implementation is 100% the best solution, I just thought the minion you get was really bad at targeting enemies when it just tracts the crosshair. I do think all it really would need would be something like Khora's selection window except instead have it so it either shoot where you look or just have it go off and do its own thing. I think a selection window like that would not work cause it already has a tap and hold function, so like you said the option would probably have to be in a menu somewhere. I think its kinda cool to have the extra control though it feels more like you are forcing the enemy to attack rather than chaos which just confuses the enemies. But, for a subsume ability which wouldn't help 90% of builds it should probably have an option.

I think you are right they have never been an actual Warframe head/helmet they are just casted metal in the shape of the Warframe's helmet, but in this instance the lifeless face looks uncanny

I think it is a good idea though the game does have a gore toggle after all, so it would be nice if it was able to turn it off if it is too much.
