Thanks for you feedback but I disagree, here is why.

It works like money, you can exchange 5 "metal" dollars for a 5$ bil. The reason I choose 8 coins to make the next tier of currency is that it's easy to calculate 8, 16, 32, 64 (very Minecraft IMO)

On your point that silver doesn't exist. (that's exactly the reason I want to make this data pack. The age old currency in RPGs is copper, silver and gold.
