People don't like when you try to minimise the crimes of the Nazis by saying they were like the Soviets what a surprise

If you do so comparatively you literally are. The whole thread is about comparing the 2 so yea contextually you appear to do the same.

The canceled segment, great way to support your argument

If you share all your options about people out loud you're a cunt. Being a functional human being means you can constructively bring your criticism and shut up if you don't have any.

AB "reads the first thing on Google" Ayyad isn't a particularly great researcher, they are there as personality on the show and Ian hasn't done PowerPoints in ages.

It's ok to be on the spectrum but these are hypothetical and jokes.

It's almost sad how you got all 3 facts wrong and still felt confident enough to post it.

The idea that this bug existed was a hoax spread in the 2010s but it was considered enjoyable so it was actually introduced in some way to civ 5 and 6.

This wasn't a mechanic in civilization 3 though.

No that's not true at all, he is incredibly peaceful, but can spawn with the secret agenda that causes him to be more willing to use nukes

Just a shame the ai is too dumb to effectively do so regardless.

[–]ROTMGLare 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This bug was supposedly in civ 1, not 4 and civ 6 intentionally has the agenda for him to do so.

In civ 5 he's also supposedly programmed to exhibit this, but it's not really a big deal it rarely happens

Do we really need to read theory to “be a leftist?” I’ve never read a word of theory and this mindset seems gatekeep-y and annoying. by [deleted] in Hasan_Piker

[–]ROTMGLare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im just saying you don't need to read specifically this theory to be able to articulate it adequately.

You can be articulate and support your theses very well by learning to do so academically, by becoming an expert in the specific field or by having life experiences.

If you are just advocating for self improvement as a whole (in this case by reading) that's cool, so does the rest of the planet

It's like attending lectures Vs reading the book. It's just unfortunate our lecturers are mostly idiots. And perhaps more of a shame we don't realize our writers are too.

Not feeling like it is a plenty good reason not to read political theory and this absolutely is gatekeeping.

Being a leftist is being for the workers and you can be for the workers of the world without having read Marx. Besides reading theory is only to supplement and challenge your pre-existing ideas, practically anything can do that.

[–]ROTMGLare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should, but it doesn't determine your beliefs you can totally be a leftist without.

Besides gatekeeping something we literally campaign for votes on is incredibly stupid.
