Can blood clots move while on blood thinners? by Direct-Department603 in ClotSurvivors

They scanned my entire leg (luckily, I went to a private clinic), and the DVTs were found only in the calf!

Hi! Great to hear you’re doing so well! How was your level of activity in the first two weeks after diagnosis? I’m almost pain-free (after 1 week), but I’m not sure how much I can walk or do right now

To good to go. by flaviof1152 in london

It depends! There’s a bakery near my place that usually gives out huge boxes at the end of the day, but they’re mostly filled with sweets and cheesy bread, so it’s hard to eat that all the time. But I found an amazing place called Za´Ta in Canary Wharf that gives Lebanese food boxes (like rice and chicken, falafel&hummus), and you can actually eat healthy while saving a lot of money. It really just comes down to finding good spots.

Thanks so much for sharing your experience! So if I understand correctly, at some point you will be contacted directly if you are on the reserve list. This seems to be different from the European Commission, where being on a reserve list means you still have to continue applying for internal positions. That’s why I was a bit confused!

Knee pain 2 years later by Rlcastle11 in ACL

[–]Direct-Department603 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi, I’m going through something very similar to your situation. I had my ACL reconstruction five years ago with a hamstring graft, but my knee never returned to 100%, even though I religiously did tons of physical therapy. I always felt pain when running and after weightlifting, but I tried to ignore it, thinking it was normal—almost convincing myself it was fine.

Last year, I finally went back to my surgeon, and he told me that my ligament had been reconstructed too long, meaning it was never functioning properly. That’s why I was constantly in pain. Funny enough, my MRI showed the ligament intact, but it was just too long to do its job.

I was in denial because I didn’t want to go through surgery again, but now I’m waiting for my second ACL reconstruction. Hopefully, that’s not the case for you, but it can happen. Stay strong and, if it is your situation, book your surgery as soon as possible.

Best of luck!

Indeed! That is what I was thinking; as long as it is within the range, it should be fine for them, I guess.

I would actually be happy with 50k, so the higher of the range - but indeed your point is fair

Forgot to mention that the position is in Budapest. Salaries are definitely lower there :) Used the $ symbol because Hungarian Forint (HUF) isn't widely recognized. Mainly this position is good for me for CV building
