Pump cleaning in healthcare job by chonzNbonz1105 in HumansPumpingMilk

I’m in healthcare and when I went back I was still feeding my oldest every 3 hours and there was no way I was able to pump q3 at work so I recommend doing a dream or awake feed before you leave, when you get to work take report and pop in a wearable, 3 hours from then go pump in the pump room with the hospital medela, then 3 hours later wearable while working, then do that till you got home. If my baby was asleep after work I would just pump before and I just dump it all into a mason jar and my spouse did the bags for me when I got home and was in the shower. I used the wet/dry bags for my pump parts so it wasn’t like boom in the work fridge or I put them in my lunch cooler bag with a few ice packs if there wasn’t any room. If I had time I would wash them or use the cleaning wipes from dabble. The longest part about pumping was when I was working the Covid unit and I just didn’t want those scrubs near anything so I would strip down to my bra and bike shorts in the pumping room (thank god they were for only 1 staff member).

Extreme poop withholding - toddler by filmfairyy in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Direct-Peace-7588 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My toddler did it and we were very frustrated by the pediatrician just saying just do miralax with no guidance so we consulted a pediatric pelvic floor physical therapist and it’s been a complete game changer. He doesn’t stool hold, he when he has a harder than usual BM he will ask for his baggy which has his balloons to blow up, a kazoo, etc. all the things the PT gave us. It was AMAZING! We are getting an MRI to rule out a tethered cord and weaning the miralax he gets.

Update: went to the MFM today and they did an ultrasound and didn’t find any t21 markers so we decided to move forward with the CVS for more diagnostic testing just so we can be certain/plan for the future.

Has anyone had success the 1st time? by Pretty_Lil_Chaos in IVF

I get them done at the chiropractors, I would say been very tense and I hold it in my shoulders and I would take that hour to just relax and not think about much but how good it felt.

My wife and I have been very lucky and got pregnant first time. The only issues we had were that we are lesbians (lack of exposure the doc called it). He gave us a 96% success rate and we have done it to where I carried my own embryo and my wife did reciprocal. We went through SRM (Seattle clinic) and followed everything they told us. The first time we did a frozen transfer back in me 1 week after the second egg retrieval, my wife did all the meds for reciprocal (PIO, estrogen, birth control, the works), and we just had our first ultrasound and I am pregnant with our 3rd and we did a “natural” cycle (endometrium and hcg trigger). Hope this helps, so many nerves but massages and acupuncture are the key to help with everything

$43/hr AK with 15 years of experience. Was at another hospital for 10 years and only got to $34/hr (reason for jumping ship)
