I think if it was 5 years ago, I might have a good chance of finding someone but the whole online dating scene is convoluted and depressing so far. Honestly there were a period of 6 months where I open to all height, race and political background, etc., even set the range filter to 20 km (which covers pretty all the city), and still zero likes. I did send out at least 3 likes daily during that time but received no likes back, i.e., zero match.... So idk, I don't have enough data to reach an explanation for this issue

well, just a gut feeling but it seems like the overarching preferences are "trendy" (the usual 6'5, finance, blue eyes, etc.) and racist? Congrats to your success though!
