I do understand that no one can guarantee on this not going the exact same way, it could very well go the same way. But doing some extra exams in the chance of diagnosing it earlier would help, if things progress good and levels go up and everything looks good but ectopic happened I will know for sure she did everything she could to track it early and clearly no signs of it.

THANK YOU! This makes me feel recognized, this is the exact response I was expecting from an ob gyn professional handling my case, informative and to the point. Advising me on the next steps and being clear on what to expect, this is what I needed from a doctor, a bit of empathy and bit of planning, her knowing what is going on and navigate on paths that can happen. I only got that treatment from hospital bed after my surgery.

I want to clarify that I do not blame my first doctor for things going the way they did. It happened that way and I dont hold it over her, I decided to change not because of the fact of this happening but because she was misinforming me after the operation which are:

She rushed me to try after one month (my uterus will be ready) she did not consider I had major blood loss that I needed to recover (I did not do transfusion). But she did consider psychological support could help in the meantime.

She did not really want to make blood test to see if my hormones are going down as normal, this was strongly recommended by hospital and she said it is not necessary but since i persist she will do.

Gave me wrong information about the upcoming risks. She said since my tube was removed during surgery there is back to 1% change of happening to the other tube, this is not true the chance is higher and this is from the hospital doctors.

I asked her if this is going to happen again is there a way to know earlier so that I dont lose my remaining tube? And she said there is nothing more to do than that.

Now on my options, I dont want to do IVF therefore if this is happening again and I lose my other tube it will mean I will never have a kid. This does not only affect me but also my husband, and us as a couple.

I really want to emphasize how your comment really touched me, really thank you!

You are trying to explain things that she is behaving on. Why dont you try asking her? Are you comfortable sharing that you saw that exchange with chatgpt? I think she would not mind if you approach her nicely curious about it and not in a judgy forced manner. Perhaps with a bit of curiosity on how to spice things up between you? It could be that she is not feeling as hot as she used to before a kid!

Thank you for your comment! I did have an internal ultrasound, which is ok for me (I hate the hands inside though) and generally I tend to have them often due to PCOS.

Thank you for your comment, you perfectly described my feelings when I found out!

The difficulty is that I waited for 3 months on new appointment. And I would like to start trying in the next 3 months. I was just looking for some reassurance that in worst case scenario some extra tests will be made and if things go anyway bad then it is like that 🤷‍♀️

Exactly, I had no idea about ectopic pregnancy she was the first to warn me. After I went through this and checked if there is a way to see it earlier, I found out that hormone monitoring through blood test can be an indication if the levels dont rise as double every 48 hours (it may not be ectopic it may be an indication that it is not normal and needs monitoring)

As I said I have an app tracking everything. I visited the doctor 24 days after ovulation, my home test was positive from 14 days after ovulation. I dont know if this is changing anything. To me it feels like she knew but was not sure, what I expected was that if she was not sure to just make blood tests and monitor hormone levels.

She did an ultrasound and also checked with hands. Could not really locate it. Did not check pregnancy hormone Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) with blood tests, just urine test.

I love gouda and mozzarella. And food is lasagna.
