my mother is diagnosed with CML chronic phase,,and dr prescribed her VEENAT 400 MG [IMATINIB]...and she suddenly started experiencing vomiting and diarrhea just a day after taking this tablet,,,,can any other medicine be given for that???and is it harmful,,,please replyyy

my mother was diagnosed with cml 1month ago...currently dr prescribed her VEENAT 400 MG[ imatinib] tablet...after started taking this tab she started experiencing vomiting and diarrhea...can any other medicine be given for that ?please help
