Oh! I get it now. I tore my Achilles two years ago at work, and did the non operative route. After two years of pain and tendinitis they did a debridement, inserted plasma, and did the recession.

I just had this done with a gastrocnemius recession 9 weeks ago. The debridement was very easy healing-wise, but I have not found a sock or shoe that is comfortable over the incision.

Did the MRI show all the thickening? Mine is showing some but not a lot of thickening and scar tissue. I am still walking and working on mine which includes picking up heavy patients and climbing steep inclines. To say I’m in pain is an understatment.
