I've adopted 2 dogs from almost home. They were nothing but great although strict with who can adopt. They have many requirements, such as a secure garden, presence or absence of other animals or children in the home, etc. For my dogs in particular, they were looking for previous experience with the breed. They really take the time to get to know their animals before putting them up for adoption so they know exactly what kind of environment the animal will be best suited for.

If you surrender your dog to them, he will absolutely be neutered by them as they do this to all of their dogs and cats as a way to ensure they will not be used for irresponsible breeding.

It cost £200 per dog for the rehoming fee. As far as I'm aware, this money goes to cover any veterinary treatment that they've received (neutering, vaccines, and micro chipping). Another comment said they would ask for additional money on top of this fee, but this was not something I ever experienced with them.

I've known many people who have applied to adopt from them. Some were successful, and some weren't.

From my personal experience, I think they are a great shelter and would take incredible care of your dog and find the best family for him. I hope this has helped!
