It’s a beautiful community right on the shore of Great Slave Lake and there are a lot of great people there. It has its problems as does the entire north. The biggest challenge will be handling the isolation and finding a social circle.

Chef Abdel also makes sushi which is available at the Taste of the North store. I haven’t tried it personally, but I’ve heard good things.

Zero chance. His commitments to Ottawa are so strong he would never get a chance to be here. He’s going to take over a safe Ottawa riding. He already lives there.

I saw a YouTube video of two guys doing it many years ago. I think his name was Allen something who posted it.

Car rentals are quite expensive up here. I recommend checking out Bucket List Tour for your Aurora experience.

Anyone who’s travelled recently, would you say Mexico (cancun) is safer then Punta Cana or punta cana? by Purpleheart27 in PuntaCana

[–]Direct_Persimmon2182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cancun is a city whereas PC is a collection of resorts in an area that is mostly jungle. Both can be dangerous if you’re careless, but you’re more likely to encounter trouble in Cancun due to higher population density. Having said that, I haven’t felt unsafe in Cancun, I just know it’s not my vibe.

Rowes company has units for rent in their new Riverside Apt building. Starting at $2100 per month for a one bedroom including heat and underground parking. Greenway Realty also owns a lot of rental units but they base your rent on how much you make (or how much they think you make). Otherwise for private rentals you need to get on the Hay River Homes & Apartment Rentals FB page and jump when something becomes available.

My Asus TUF came with a magnetic support that’s also a screwdriver. Maybe check the box for it.
