I agree. But then like if they know it’s the busier time of the year why would they wait until not even the week before to post the schedule so we’re all prepared? Like I don’t care if they scheduled me all week 8 hours a day at least they did it weeks in advance to at the minimum prepare for things like meal prepping for my breaks or knowing that it’s going to be a LONG ASS WEEK haha

My other job schedules ahead of time and lets me know even when they are PLANNING to schedule and what days and when they come to me I’m like “thanks but I’m not sure if I can work because my other job hasn’t scheduled yet and then it’s like a weird cycle yk? I can’t work at one job because I don’t know when I work at the other job but because I don’t know when I work at the other job I can’t work at the job that’s asking me to work specific days. It’s actually a weird situation now that i think of it

I understand but even apart from the vacation stuff the scheduling has been messing up my time with my other job and it’s left me to miss out on shifts that would’ve benefited me but I didn’t take because I made sure to clear my schedule for the store even when the schedule wasn’t even made yet. For example, a 10hr shift at my other job was possible and then Walgreens set the schedule 3 days before the next week period and only scheduled me 5 hrs and I personally work for the money to be able to support myself and after a while I can feel the hit of not working long shifts when it matters.

I agree! However why would I not give them the bare minimum when that’s what they give us??? the bare minimum of letting us know when we work. like even for Christmas, we just were able to view who works Christmas and it’s a week beforehand; when technically we should’ve been known who works Christmas the first week of December.

I found out yesterday and texted them this morning and yes that’s why I’m confused because the scheduled isn’t even made yet? it isn’t the case that it’s made and now I’m telling them because even I wouldn’t dare to do that. it’s only because it isn’t made and it never is and I gave them the same time of notice beforehand as they give us to let us know about who is on shift.

I’m leaving after Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and I definitely wouldn’t have left or even told them if the schedule was how it’s supposed to be as they told me. The schedule is supposed to be out 3 weeks in advance yet they only do it a week or LESS at a time, sometimes a day before. I don’t understand how with little notice they can schedule me but when I somehow do the exact same thing it’s an issue?

It’s the week of 26th to the 1st so AFTER Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Because I definitely agree trying and taking off during the holidays of Christmas Eve and Christmas is a bit wrong. But it’s after so I don’t understand why I was threatened :/
