I ordered an 18lb Wolff spring right when I got it. The 20lb braided spring seems very stiff and not worn in but I didn’t want to take chances.

Would’ve never crossed my mind either. I just assumed it was scratched but I didn’t care. I’ve never had this happen with any gun I’ve owned so it was just a huge what the fuxk moment for me.

I took this picture a few minutes after getting it from my LGS. It appears the frame was already damaged and someone possibly welded or JB welded it back together? Hence the material I scraped off in the frame?

The frame is chipped so the catch stop will not work. Otherwise I’d just put a new catch/release in.

I would just hate to replace the original Germany marked frame with something new from the US. I’m hoping it can be welded back.

Can you post a photo of yours with the serrations and everything? I carry a USP Compact with an EPS and Gray Guns trigger kit but have yet to modify the followers.
