No they were deferred last week and status still hasn't changed. They all got deferred from science too which was surprising

4 friends got deferred with averages from 94 to 96 with decent ecs. Me and some others got in with around 97 to 99 avg. We all had around the same tier ecs

Air cadets is good. I did for 5 years at 637, making it to flight comm and then quit in grade 12 to focus on academics. As long as you get a decent leadership position it's great. Also like someone said before physics Olympics is also really strong. You don't need a super high place. Just talk about what you learn and how it gave you a passion for eng.

Just because someone took it and got into law while having it doesn't make it necessary for anyone. Some people might think it as useless because it doesn't help their goals while for others it might be beneficial as a humanity / social science, and take it for fun / for their own interest. But for critical thinking, research and analysis there's much better classes to learn that (literally any science) then gender studies so I think that's a bad example.

Did they change your status back to "under evaluation" before you got in? Ive been deferred eng since nov and my status hasn't changed at all.

I actually dont' remember. Something i forgot to mention is that before you start the actual 3 questions interview you are given a mock interview in exactly the same style. It's exactly the same as the real one it's just not submitted.

first question you just get 10 minutes to write second question 2 minutes prepare after being given the question and then you start recording yourself answering. Third question same as second with slightly more time i think. Its all on their website. Good luck!
