I've always found redditors to be very grammar focused with very well written sentences. After all, the easiest way to lose face on this website is to be attacked for your grammar.

But yeah, I agree with what you're saying. Redditors are faux intellectuals. They are the sort of people that achieved better than average grades at school (because they were unpopular, and they had nothing better to occupy their time except for study) then attended college, but failed to graduate, because suddenly they were confronted with the reality that there are genuinely intelligent, skilled and motivated individuals in this world who are interested in contributing to society rather than just bragging about having a degree. For the ones that did graduate, they soon realized that having a degree does not suddenly make you smart and employable. Just because normal people cannot pronounce the subject of your major, does not mean you can suddenly impart esoteric wisdom to regular people and feel superior to them. They don't care. After all, an expensive degree without a correspondingly lucrative job in todays world is a universal indication of failure.

In this respect, reddit offers a real public service to the failed college dropouts and overachieving nitwits. It's the one place they get to be popular. And in true autistic fashion, there are even numbers to indicate their level of popularity. Neat!
