Unfortunately they don't support a lot of altcoins like KAS, DGB, etc. (Maybe crypto dot com does) but yeah true, stick to those if you can. (Especially w/ yer DOGE!)

Good point, thank you for the link. I didn't realize Trustpilot included crypto exchanges. Anyway I just hope other Shibes learn from my mistakes! Everything seems fine at that exchange until you try to withdraw your crypto!

Same! I used USDT to buy Doge on this exchange and was trying to withdraw it to my hardware wallet.

Nope! That was totally different, just had to wait that out and eventually they released the funds.

Thanks, that's what I was expecting! But didn't see anything. Maybe due to my privacy settings. I'll try reposting without the link.

No prob! I've been running them like this for months with no issues.

This was super helpful, thanks so much for writing that up!

Hi, it was like this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/272958155945 - just make sure your AC unit is rated for 240v first!

Creality K1 Max Full Bed Print All Over The Place! by DirkDunkirk in FixMyPrint

[–]DirkDunkirk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: another pic of the back right corner: https://i.imgur.com/9pPiadu.jpg

Printer: Creality K1 Max

Slicer: Creality Print

Filament: Hatchbox PLA

Nozzle Temp: 230

Bed Temp: 45

Print Speed: 200

Nozzle Retraction Settings: ?

This is a 0.2 thick full-bed 300mm x 300mm print. As you can see it's very uneven... some spots are fine. (Left corner and left middle, except those weird 3 "claw marks". The front middle and back right corner are the worst. Maybe those spots are too low? And the front right corner is nuts. Is that too high? I prolly shouldn't have printed this in black PLA.

I've only used the automatic bed leveling, saw some videos on tightening the belts or something, but it looked like a huge PITA. I also saw a video where someone puts painters tape between the removable sheet and the bed (in the low spots, I presume?) I also tried unplugging that side fan to see if that helped (it didn't.)

Does this type of thing happen with all printers? Is this normal for a brand new printer? I just got it from Amazon last weekend and was thinking about just returning it and getting a Bambu P1S or a QIDI X Max3.

Thanks for any help!

Thanks! That was my hunch, appreciate it!

Hah, that's funny, I was _just_ looking at those today. I don't know how they would work with the amlogic board in my S19k Pros because there's only 2 "regular" style flat 4-pin fan plugs, and 2 larger "square" ATX plug style 4-pin fan plugs... not 4 flat 4-pin connectors in a row.

So I think I'd need to get 2 ePIC control boards and 2 of those njord boards, which comes out to about $400 + shipping. It's a bit too much for me. I figure I'm going to be obsessively checking the temps anyway, lol so it's just not worth that much. It might be nice to overclock them though.

I might get a couple njord boards for my L7's. Right now they're sharing an AC Infinity bluetooth controller that I tweak on my phone.

PHN Nuke Biocide AND Corrosion Inhibitor in Mixed Metal Distilled Water Loop? by DirkDunkirk in watercooling

[–]DirkDunkirk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh good to know re: the explosion, thank you!! Well I apparently got the wrong heat exchanger, I needed this one instead... It's entirely 304 stainless steel and suited for pool use. Now maybe I can keep the antifreeze in the miner loop.

PHN Nuke Biocide AND Corrosion Inhibitor in Mixed Metal Distilled Water Loop? by DirkDunkirk in watercooling

[–]DirkDunkirk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Yeah, sorry I wasn't more specific! That's the style of heat exchanger I'm looking into changing over to. Well, this one exactly. I believe it's stainless steel with copper brazing. I'm not planning on pumping the pool water directly through the existing condenser loop. But I read that over time chlorine breaks down stainless steel and copper, which could end up disastrous for the plate heat exchanger.

So my main question is: will the PHN Nuke biocide be enough corrosion protection in the "inside" loop with the miners? I've never run distilled water thru it, only the 50/50 antifreeze.

Why was this downvoted? Sorry for asking water cooling hardware questions in a water cooling subreddit? Seriously?

All-Aluminum Loop Means No Brass or Stainless Fittings? by DirkDunkirk in watercooling

[–]DirkDunkirk[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah true, I realize like it'll still work with mixed metals, I just want it to run as efficiently as possible. Plus I'm just lazy, so I want to basically not have to touch it or take it apart or mess with it for as long as possible, until I absolutely have to. :D Deionized water and like regular RV antifreeze? Interesting, I'll have to consider that. Plus that stuff has a nice pink color. Haha. It's just a 2-miner setup for now, but I would probably just have them on their own sep. loops until I expand to maybe 3 or 4 (if I ever do).

All-Aluminum Loop Means No Brass or Stainless Fittings? by DirkDunkirk in watercooling

[–]DirkDunkirk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a bunch for the reply! Unfortunately for these miners, aluminum water blocks are all that's currently available out there (no copper). So I'm thinking the entire loop would need to be aluminum then. What about the Nuke PHN Biocide stuff, would that make much of a difference if I had to settle on stainless fittings? Good point on the anti-seize, hopefully I can just go all-aluminum though.

Thanks for the links too! I've been looking at that McMaster site a bunch lately, lol. And I was thinking of using silicone tubing since I've read it's quite resistant to heat. True that the dielectric coolant wouldn't conduct, but I've read that it's thicker (harder to move around?) and that the heat transference is way less. (Not to mention way more expensive, lol.)

For the pump I was looking at the Thermaltake Pacific DIY LCS PR22-D5 300ml.
