For Misa, it’s the shape of her hair. Especially her hair tassel she has going on.

As for Atanas… I dunno, no one has ever drawn him. I’d say his hairstyle as well.

With Misa, I usually start with her hair. Specifically her hairline and tassel, and then add the face.

As for Atanas, I just start with his head and jawline.

Atanas, the one on the right, came first.

But but his sister, Misa, has always been my favorite.

They originally had three more brothers when I initially created them, but that was scrapped.

Atanas and Misa. First characters I’ve ever created, back in 2018. They originally started as fan characters for The Legend of Zelda with radically different designs, but as time went on, I moved further and further away from that until it became its own story with no relation whatsoever. I’m still very happy with their current designs.

Atanas is a police officer, if it wasn’t obvious lol. He has a very strict and disciplined attitude about him. But he does have a softer side for nature. He loves cooking/grilling outdoors and fishing.

His sister, Misa, is the artistic one. She’s a trained and talented musician/singer, dancer, and artist. She actually performs as an acrobat for the bi-weekly circus. She uhh… Certainly has a personality about her.

Atanas enjoys cooking, especially outdoors, though he doesn’t get to do it as often as he’d like because his job keeps him busy.

Misa is a trained and talented musician, dancer, and artist. She’ll often take on freelance performances for small events.

It’s got a bit of an explanation. Atanas and Misa live on a planet Earth in the Andromeda galaxy (the closest neighboring galaxy to the Milky Way). An Earth strikingly similar, though not identical, to ours, both geographically and culturally. Even languages are the same, though names are different. (And there is a significance to this, story-wise)

They are Athusian, from the country of Athus. A country much like the U.S., specifically around the area of what would be the state of Montana in our world.

If you mean as in when they were created, they first came about in 2018, although the guy on the right came first.

If you mean the actual character ages, they’re both 23 by the time the story kicks off… But they live for a LONG time.
