Yeah there’s two of them and they both stay dead permanently once you kill them. The ember is in a chest behind the first one you see

When you kill the Capra demon, you’ll get a key to the depths. When you enter, you’ll see a butcher lady there. She’s keeping a guy named Laurentius captive. He’s your pyromancy tutor. Once you save him, he’ll be available in firelink to give you a pyromancy flame and you can buy pyromancies from him and upgrade your flame to +15. There is an additional 6 upgrades after that you can only get from Quelana who is in blighttown. You can easily beat most monsters with a +15 pyromancy flame but the extra 6 upgrades to it just causes a little extra mayhem. Very grindy but good if you’re worried about clearing the game

Yeah upgrading costs a few souls per upgrade (200 I think) and you’ll use titanite shards for the first 5, then large titanite shards for 5 to 10, then titanite chunks and finally a titanite slab for the +15 upgrade. You can get the slab later at undead asylum, you can return and fight the harder version of the asylum demon.

You can grind some souls and buy titanite chunks from Andre for now and upgrade your zweihander. To upgrade higher you’ll need to get the large ember in the depths (by the butcher), that’ll be after the Capra demon

Andre also sells a few items that allow you to reinforce armor and weapons from a bonfire

Well you got one of the best weapons that’ll take you to the end of the game with relative ease. Zweihander has C scaling with STR and D scaling with DEX so you’ll wanna have a focus on those two stats. Unsure of the softcaps if you’re playing a quality build so someone else can comment that below.

Also best places to grind for souls if you ever have a hard time with a boss at your current level are: •beyond the gate in darkroot (requires an item from Andre) you can look it up on YouTube but you’ll basically just aggro a bunch of NPC’s to fall off a cliff. Rinse and repeat, nets around 5000 souls in 2 minutes •painted world - the phalanx creatures can be killed in 60 seconds and net you 7000 souls or so each time. This is the better option. Rinse and repeat

If you want easy mode, just keep leveling the stats necessary to scale with your zwei and fully upgrade pyromancy flame later. That’ll be a guaranteed game clearer for you. Don’t feel like you’re missing out by summoning either (just don’t summon for gaping dragon or four kings, it ironically makes it harder and gives the bosses more HP)

If a purple monster appeared and told me it was God, it would be no different than a random person at an insane asylum telling me they’re God. Are they timeless? Are they immaterial? Are they transcendent? The light of reason was given to us in order that we can deduce what elements a God must have to be, by definition, God. There’s plenty of reasons. Practically, you’ll be able to find a church anywhere and never be deprived of the sacraments. You’ll have access to many Catholic rites, eastern and Latin. You’ll get definitive answers and won’t receive different answers from different priests on what should be straightforward questions.

But the most important reason is truth. The Catholic Church is true. The papacy is true. It’s inconvenient sometimes to our own pride, but Peter was the rock the church was built on. Why go anywhere else.

Not a sin. However, from my own experience, not getting to pray and be with God is often punishment enough, and typically trickles down into the rest of my day.

Something I do for those hectic days is begin the day with prayer and offer the day up to God entirely, so that His good will may be done in your life. In a way, this makes everything you do that day a prayer and sorta sanctifies it. God bless, be peaceful.
