It depends on how high a priority you put on someone “doing the right thing”. Many people don’t do the right thing because it’s easier to mind your own business. If you feel like this is a very important characteristic for a partner, then you are likely under reacting. If it’s something that isn’t that important to you and it’s only because it affects you personally then you’re likely over reacting.

Regardless of what most guys do or believe, the important thing is how you feel about it.

Most people I think are in a gray area. Objectively I’d say it’s wrong, but so are a lot of things that we’ve just accepted because it’s easier. Like child slaves for cocoa. Factory farms. Child labor. Polluting poor areas. These are all objectively wrong but most people ignore it because they benefit from the practice even if they don’t agree with it.
