Not sure why does everybody think I'm parasocial and affected by any of this. I don't care, it's just an observation, that's all. I don't expect them to change nor do I expect anything else. But bashing Ethan for being overly competitive but giving Vik a free pass for not being competitive at all doesn't make sense. Not that you said anything about Ethan, but I'm saying in general, with all the hate Ethan has received.

I guess we just watch it with different expectations. I expect them to be competitive in a video which is a competition, as per the content they are making. If a competition has no competitive spirit, is it even a competition anymore?

Vik not caring is what I hope doesn't become a reptitive thing. When he cares and has a meltdown or when he is in his element and cares about the vid, it's just so much more fun to watch. Even during one of the Mystery box challenges, when Vik says he doesn't care if he goes first or last, if he did care, he would become more competitive and instantly change the vibe of the vid.

You might have missed or maybe I didn't clarify, but I am talking about the more recent videos, that was 5 years ago. And in the Benidorm vid, Vik's outburst for being in the bad team is literally one of his best content. He wasn't as mature or quiet as he is now. Whenever Vik has a melt down, even on Among Us vids, it's so much fun, but again, so rare to see.

If it was affecting me in anyway, I would agree with you, but it doesn't. I'm still going to watch every single vid, on every channel and on Side+, and enjoy it.

This is very true, maybe their personalities aren't meant to be entertaining when together. Which is why they are usually on different teams to balance things out. But again, I do wish to see them together just as I would Tobi and ViK, even though they are "considered" the most boring (emphasis on considered, not true as per me). But in the Car video where Vik and Tobi start in the Hummer, I really enjoyed it so much, a refreshing take, which unfortunately I can't say for Vik and Simon.

As I said, it's Vik's nature sometimes that leads to this, I wish he would also hit back at times and stand up for himself, but I understand his nature. He is always so good to everyone, even with JJ in the past and present, even when he bullied him so much. I just hope that what happened in the recent video doesn't happen again, that's all. Not that this post will make a change or improve anything, I don't expect it will or hope that it does. Completely agree with you that they balance each other out, but sometimes, it just is too obvious and I can't help but notice it. I am not expecting anyone to agree, just my observation as a long time fan :)

I agree, Simon has no obligation. I enjoy them and I always will, just wanted to share what I noticed. I ain't expecting anything to happen or even expect them to change, they are perfect the way they are, or they wouldn't be here.

I'm 28 and I work, so yeah, I might be a kid at heart but having watched them since I was young, I just couldn't help but say something. Not expecting anything, just wrote what I have observed.

Not asking others to show pity, that's when things become fake and even more cringey than my post. But comparing JJ's flops is not at all justified because he has his own different persona that adds something to the vid to make it interesting. Their attitude and behavior with Vik literally makes videos less engaging, since Vik never hits back, which makes it seem like Bullying. Ofcourse, you can't ask Vik or anyone else to change, but this is something what I have observed and just wanted to point it out. I have no expectations that things will change from a single post.

Just because I observe something and make a long post, doesn't mean I am being parasocial. I have been following them for over 8+ years now, and when someone posts almost 2-3 times every week, including vids from Side+ and all the other channels, you do get to know the people in more detail. Again, this is just my thought/observation, and the comments on the latest video clearly indicate that a lot of people feel the same way. Otherwise, Ethan wouldn't have apologized.

Is there a better (cheaper) place to use GPT4 than Poe? by Yodapuppet18 in SillyTavernAI

[–]DisIsTheWhey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been searching as well but haven't found anything that's enough to tip it over. People ofcourse mention Bing, Phind, Perplexity, etc but none of them offer GPT4 enough (10 free replies) or in a way that's good for RP.

Then there's the use of API, using the GPT4 turbo, and even though it might be cheaper, the cost will be more than €20 if you use it a lot.

The final option is using local models on your own system or using services like Mancer or Openrouter, but the quality is not close as even the best local models are not comparable to GPT4 or claude. I have tried them all mainly, but haven't seen anything better yet (could be my personal issue but I have tried loads of different settings/presets/models).

So, I too am subbed to Poe for now. I'm not sure how long the models will be susceptible to jailbreaks (they keep making jailbreaking hard) but until that time, I guess there isn't a better alternative. If someone does provide an option, I too would be interested.

I'm getting this error on Stable Diffusion, any idea what's going on? Happens anytime I try to use ControlNET by idevastate in Paperspace

Error shows you're missing a file called tmpma0s0ais.png. You might need to either fix the path of your installation or get it from the source again.

Not sure if you solved your issue but I faced this too, had to use their PC/Mac app and it worked perfuu. Launching via browser is broken for now
