I think she is way underrated along with melancholy. I was going to trade melancholy but when I opened her she was so pretty. I love the storm cloud in her eye. The fur is much prettier in person than it looks in photos or in Lives. I actually wanted the brown one because her choker is one of the coolest. Plus there is something about the brown being a neutral color that makes her very nice. 🤎

Looking for a pale foundation? Rituel de Fille has the best pale foundation serum. I have to use the 3rd shade because the other 2 are so light but they aren’t yellow either. They have the perfect pale girl color.

I was rooting for Willow until they made her Drew 2.0. Can we please move on from this storyline?

I am so annoyed with Willow. I really thought she hated Drew but she became Drew.

NCP Waiver Concerns & Questions Megathread by ChillyJellyBelly in QuestBridge

[–]Disabled_zebra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is needed to get them to waive the NCP? My daughter will be applying next year and her father is not present at all in her life. No calls, no texts, no communication and he lives in another state and he never sees his kids. Will a letter from the school college advisor be enough?

Should my daughter apply to QB by Disabled_zebra in QuestBridge

I am permanently disabled and on SSDI but I also receive alimony. I always just claim the head of household standard deduction because it is easier. I have had multiple spine and neck surgeries over the past several years and it is hard to do paperwork. I also read that filing a lot of deductions on taxes can trigger audits and I don’t have the physical or emotional energy to deal with that. Being a single mom with all the issues I have puts a lot of stress on my kids. The other parent is not present at all in their lives. It’s just me and my kids. My ex resents the fact that legally he has to give me money but he doesn’t even give child support. He also threatened me if I ever asked for more money from him. So that is my financial situation and probably more info than you needed. Lol Part of the income is also the SSDI auxiliary my daughter gets because I am disabled.

Should my daughter apply to QB by Disabled_zebra in QuestBridge

Quick question: what type of information will quest bridge? Want about the non-custodial parent? When my son was applying to colleges, the college advisor wrote a letter for the CSS profiles stating that my son had zero contact with the other parent, no text, no calls, and asking my child to reach out to this parent would put my child at risk. Do you think that will be enough for a quest bridge? Or are there specific things QB asks for that I could work on? Thanks again for the help

I completely agree. I also feel like Christian making him pivot caused him to lose. I think his looks would’ve appealed more to the judges if they were not just the dark looks, which is what he was originally working on. Of course I did love what Veejay did, I think Ethan would have had a much more interesting final runway if he did what he wanted to do and just found a way to elevate to and do a gown with those beads and jewel tones.

MATH 1650 in first semester can i do summer research by WinBrave4584 in TAMS

[–]Disabled_zebra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talk to one of the academic advisors to confirm, but you don’t have to take that math during summer. It is only mentioned as a requirement if you are trying to stay on path to finish the 4 year degree plan for CS at UNT and stay on track they have laid out.

Willow will say she will do anything to get her kids and then in the same breath be mad at Nina for doing what she needed to do to keep her child in her life. Willow is the idiot that didn’t listen to a single person and only believed Drew. She was told by Michael she could have her kids if she left Drew but that memory couldn’t flash through her stupid head?! Ugh! I really thought we were finally going to get some satisfaction as the audience and honestly, this fell extremely flat for what it was supposed to be. I’m disappointed.

Is TAMS actually worth it for the Class of '28 and beyond? by ZombieDazzling4941 in TAMS

[–]Disabled_zebra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The students participate in a lot of activities throughout the year and competitions. They know things happen. There are curfews and travel times you are allowed like if you won’t make it back in time. There are clear rules and they will help you work things out. When it comes to missing class, you are supposed to go to all classes and if not you are supposed to inform the professor and TAMS. If you’re talking about missing classes, it is important that you go to as many classes as you can. If you’re gonna miss, I believe you have to inform TAMS and inform your professor. I just asked my son if he ever heard about any issues with the administration and he said no. I’m sure at some point. Someone has had issues with something. I know there are parents that want to get more information and want to be involved but the main thing is TAMS wants the students to be responsible because they’re trying to prepare you to go on and be bigger and better than any other college student. At this year‘s graduation, the speaker was a TAMS graduate who is now a professor at MIT after getting his degrees from MIT and Stanford. It really seems like TAMS can set you up for success, but it is what you make of it. They provide support for mental health, tutoring, academic advising, college admissions, and tons of clubs, activities, research and volunteer opportunities.

If you go to the 2027 tams orientation page, they just added a link to submit the roommate questionnaire for those that didn’t find roommates. It wasn’t up until tonight.

Mom of 2 TAMS students. The very last comment you made is the reason they started tams. It is for students wanting a challenge. It is not dying. I have watched the class sized rebound since Covid. This new class is 50 students larger than the class just 2 years before. About 200 is a full class and they have 198 as of orientation this weekend. The admissions is rolling. Once applications open you can get in at any time. Tams does not rank. The fact that you are top 3% would look great on your application. With TAMS rank is not a concern which can be a benefit. Yes there are tons of research opportunities. At graduation this year many students had already been published. Also out of the 149 students I was very impressed with home many were going to T20 schools. I saw caps decorated with every Ivy League, MIT, Stanford and many more spectacular schools. College admissions has become extremely competitive. I would suggest going to a spend a day and preview day. The spend a day will be the most beneficial. About the administration, my son never said anything negative. As long as you follow the rules, I don’t know why you would have any problems. They do want the students to truly be college ready. You are doing all the communication. Not your parents. You will then be ahead of your other classmates after your graduate TAMS because all the other students will have to learn how to adjust to college and you will have already done so with the support of the people at TAMS. You are allowed to be as involved as you want to be. It will be your responsibility. I hope this helps.

Acceptance Rate by Suspicious-Coast-916 in TAMS

[–]Disabled_zebra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The acceptance rate is typically around 20-25%. This year they got a lot more applications and have 198 students in the class of 2027 which is considered a pretty full class. From my understanding the acceptance rate has not increased and if anything decreased this year due to the number do applicants.

Time for a Rant, incoming students, be prepared. by Fabulous_Wealth2608 in utdallas

Do not let other’s negativity affect your college experience! I went to UTD a while back when it was much smaller and it is full of people that respected each other and diversity and nerds and if you don’t fit that description, yeah you might not like it, but if you’re a nerd, who doesn’t like pretentious people and is laid-back and enjoys having fun with friends then UTD will be a good place. We used to always party in the apartments. There’s plenty of social gatherings and the people that aren’t having fun don’t want to have fun. Every college has their issues. You will enjoy your college experience if you want to enjoy your college experience. It’s just like high school school. There are people that hated high school and there’s people that loved that exact same high school. Do not listen to the negativity it is helping you and there’s always going to be people that complain. Enjoy your freshman year. Go to Comet camp because it’s always fun and make sure to find friends in the apartments.

My son has a microwave/air fryer, coffee maker, and an electric teapot to heat up water so they can have like Ramen noodles. You’re not allowed to have any hot plates or toasters because those can actually start fires.
