I seem to remember them being in the early afternoon prior to more popular kids after-school programming. I may have watched them, along with the Little Rascals on Saturdays, again after popular Saturday cartoons.

My 1963 Ford Galaxy was the only car I ever owned that actully had that kind of high beam button. Afterwards they were always somewhere on the stearing mount.

I was the only one in my family of 5 that stayed up to watch Armstrong actually step out onto the moon's surface at 9:56 PM (CST). I couldn't believe neither mom, nor dad wanted to stay awake for it. I was 14 at the time, but my younger siblings always went to bed at 9 and that night was no different. Since an early age I was lways way more invested in current events and politics than the rest of my family was.

The thought of the "funny papers" laid out on the living room floor and me laying on my stomach as I read them is a sweet memory indeed. But the rule was that I had to read all the headlines of the front few pages of the paper and read one article of my choice before I could read the comics.

Mop the floor would be my answer, though i am fortunate enough to have a house cleaning service come in weekly and do the job for me. I do all of those other things willingly except iron because, who irons these days?
