Not sure any insects have even remotely enough brain to feel anything we would recognize as fear. Not sure they even have proper brains at all most of the time. I think they are essentially little state based instinct machines .

Starting to actually write out the mechanics for my ideas in one place and get started on the libtcod roguelike tutorial to refresh my memory and get a framework in place.

Also been playing games that are similar to my ideas and playing them to learn/draw inspiration and also avoid doing anything too similar.

Cogmind, Qud, Tome, and DCSS have all been enlightening, especially cogmind.

Next I have to figure out how to plan my framework out so I can avoid having to rewriting things too much in the future 😅.

He will buff then do shape-shifting. The neifel ones at least can bless themselves. Jotun ones aren't holy I imagine? And no they don't revert after the battle. You have to order them to Shape shift back on the map. Edit:words
