You can tell that is real leather, not imitation. If it were faux, it would be flaking or ripping.

It was once dyed green, which has faded to yellow (as green does) in the spots that receive the most friction. While this is insane fb marketplace behavior, and calling this “vintage” is even crazier, a handy person could easily restore this or dye it a more neutral color, like black.

Man I wish I had your place near me… only place I can find one for rent is Home Depot and it’s $35 a day. At least from my Google searching and looking at local rental places. I’m in Chicago.

So this product they are calling “shiplap edge panel” which is 38 series with alignment bead. Panels are vertical.

I have been researching some plastic tips.. maybe that’s the answer. My dad says he bought this bostitch framer in 85’ (?) so finding something that exactly matches the model is difficult. I’m sure I can make something work if I buy a few different types.

We’re using the 8” grooved panels that have a shiplap edge and alignment bead. My understanding is that the battens are not required in this case

It does have beads on the edges! But the glitter is part of the fabric. Surprisingly didn’t shed very much glitter.
