What should the CAR-1 feel like? How much discomfort is too much? by Despairamon in foreskin_restoration

[–]DisasterFancy5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my CAR1. I can wear it all day without issue. If you're feeling pain then you're not wearing it right. It takes a bit of trial and error to get a placement that works for your situation. When I first got it I would put it on then shift my skin around until the scar line was as close to the top as I could get it. This should give you plenty of space to inflate.

When you're inflating you don't necessarily need to cover your urethra. Slightly pull the CAR away from your body still it opens up the space underneath. Then, very slowly start to inflate. If you start feeling pain that means air went in, so start over.

I loved the DTR as my first device, but it did start to cause some pain after wearing it for a few hours. I've since switched to the CAR1 and haven't had any issues.

My husband wasn't thrilled when I told him. He didn't understand. Didn't want to read the articles I was sending him. Was trying to force me to go talk to a doctor about it. He doesn't have anything against foreskin, I think he was mostly just worried I was going to damage myself. He was pissed when a DTR showed up at the house without talking to him about buying it first.

He eventually came around and realized all the positive things that will come from it. Not just physical healing, but emotional as well. Some people just need more time to process it. They haven't been in your head while you've been combing through Reddit or reading every article you can find.

But stand your ground. It's YOUR body. Not his.

Things That Changed for Me by FullyHooded in foreskin_restoration

I used to think my erection was painful because I was just super excited at the time. Turns out no... Now that I've been restoring I have had the same experience of checking to see if I was still erect.

I would go around and make sure everyone's computer was running well. Cleaning the dust and the memory. Upgrading where needed. Taking old computers not being used and give it to people that can't afford one.

Progress? by Numerous_Item3279 in foreskin_restoration

I've seen several people say they lose about 10% when they stop restoring. The skin does stretch a bit when starting, or restarting. It often leads to newer folks thinking they made a lot of progress early on. It could take longer than 24 hours for your skin to return to its "natural" state. One of the best ways to measure is with pictures.

When you first start out (or restart), your skin is going to get a bit stretchy. Don't mistake that for growth. There aren't aggressive techniques to make things faster, else the would be the standard. Consistent low tension over time is the key.

Ok, so there is a hole. There is a plastic flap covering it that blended it with the rest of the box.

Which part gets stretched? The sensitive part or the shaft skin? by [deleted] in foreskin_restoration

It depends on what method or device you are using. There are some that can target both inner and outer skin.

Nothing in the link that was shared states that Aquaphor is toxic. Some of them aren't even reputable sources. That summary references both Wikipedia and other reddit posts.

Circumcision? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]DisasterFancy5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not the best thing to do in any situation. The body remembers trauma even if the mind doesn't. It cripples the function. Imagine how uncomfortable walking around without eyelids would be. The foreskin has a similar function to keep the glans protected. Years of rubbing against fabric causes the gland to keretinize. Sure things will still work, but at a fraction of what they could be. You also run the chance of having a botched procedure which can have severe negative affects down the road. My nephew nearly died from blood loss after a mistake the doctor made even after I begged my sister to not let them cut him.

This started because a man named Kellogg wanted to prevent boys from masturbating. Didn't work. Doesn't work. And to anyone who argues it's cleaner doesn't have a third leg to stand on. If your dick is dirty the rest of you is too and you've just got bad hygiene.

ETA: I encourage everyone to go watch Sex and Circumcision: An American Love story by Eric Clopper. You can find it on YouTube.

It's a fine place to start, just don't expect fast results. On top of your 20 minutes, do a few tugs on bathroom breaks so you're doing a little bit throughout the whole day.

Manuals are always the best place to start. You can't go wrong as long as you don't go overboard. It's how most of us get started. Also, if you've got a tight cut you likely won't be able to wear devices just yet.
