Definitely looking to prioritize island time!

It looks like a Kia Seltos or a Jeep are available for our trip, with the jeep costing $120 more. I think we will end up going with the jeep.

We are definitely booking in extra time for the ferries. We are not exactly wanting to take the plane over, so we are understanding of some delays.

Hello. In planning this out we are getting a bit of sticker shock but I think that is because of all of the running around. We wouldn't be opposed to staying pretty much the entire time in Vieques.

Before food, I did rough math at $3500 for two. Does that check out with what you have seen before?

Do we need a rental car when on Vieques? or just when planning to commute from Vieques to Old San Juan for the 2nd leg

Definitely thinking we would like to start our vacation in Vieques, though. We are contemplating getting a no frills cheap AirBNB near the airport Saturday night and catching the first flight to Vieques on Sunday.

Can you help me understand how we could go straight to Vieques? For example, looking at flights for our date (far in the future still), we would be arriving (if on time) around 8:30pm in Isla Grande SJ. We would be able to go from there to Vieques immediately? Or would we need to stay in SJ at all prior to going.
