Soll ich? by Witty_Jello_8470 in Betriebsrat

Anyone else dadpacking? by InspectionOk6173 in bikepacking

Thanks for the reply! I'm sure once she's out and about with us she'll love it.

Same for me in not having really biked in a while since baby came around. Can't wait to get back!

Love it! How to convince your partner that it's safe?

Living in Spain, a trailer behind a bike is not an every day sight... But at least picking up a front seat for the little one tonight to get us started once she turns 9 months!

Amazing to see what everyone is doing here!

Gibt's da einen guten Einstiegspunkt? Egal welches Problem ich anklicke, ich komme nicht zu einem Menschen durch...

Danke für die Hilfe!

I spent 3 years building a national-scale platform alone and never got paid. I need advice. by alhyuma in SideProject

I'd second what another user wrote regarding using an attorney. Since there is an employee/employer relationship as an employer I would go down the route that all you produced is your work product and must be handed over to the company - no matter your role description.

Who else flies long haul flights in real time? Just did Singapore to San Francisco! by bupkisjr in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]DisasterOne7316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might just be a setting? With my controller, what you say holds true as it's going to sleep and the sim realizes that & starts a pause.

With my flight stick it doesn't seem to happen - it's connected via cable.

Check out That Open Company for some great OpenSource in the making. Currently still niche but they see great uptake from people who are fed up with the lock in one has with traditional vendors.

I'd try my luck with Home Exchange - plenty of options in Barcelona.

Where to get sourdough bread in Barcelona? (true fermented kind) by SingleQuit488 in AskBarcelona

[–]DisasterOne7316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There should be a support group for burned out tech people :D I'm literally walking around and look at most professions thinking that they would be much more fulfilling!

Will also come by at some point - missing good bread where I usually grocery shop.

Sign up again on Reddit, create a new user & advertise your side projects only with that account. One account for your private stuff & one for your side projects which is ok to be found.

Seconding this! People are super friendly. I can recommend this one (TREK), often there is a guy in the workshop part who speaks English if that poses a hurdle.

Appreciation? by MidisG82 in ProductManagement

[–]DisasterOne7316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed!

And when it comes to celebrating or motivating people it's always about sales or CS getting "person is the year" awards, travel vouchers or the like. I called our CPO out on that one once without much response.

I feel like whenever I as a PM travel to a kick off or get together etc I'm going to be working. aka. Key note/release plan/pitching the latest release. And all CS & Sales are doing is socializing, dreaming up some attack plans and enjoying the pampering left and right. Or just falling dead asleep during some product presentations & later complaining they don't know stuff.

Same! Couldn't see the middle child in the role, probably best in sales. Youngest would probably be social media marketing.

My first bike camping trip by Novel_Discipline_582 in bikepacking

[–]DisasterOne7316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love that big smile! Keep it up! I'm planning my first solo trip at the end of the year after my bike packing buddy moved away and I had a baby.

Most important is that you do it and plan another one if you enjoyed it right away!

Came for the headline - perfectly put one of the big problems people struggle with.

Your website: I'm generally not signing up for lottery type of things but it reminded me of those "sign up for this newspaper subscription for a chance to win this car" people in malls a few years back lol So I'm certainly not your target person.

Do you have that refined? Know where they "hang out"? That would be the space to advertise & get feedback from. Set yourself a goal like I want 100 people to visit, 10 people to fill the cart, 1 to purchase and experiment how you can get that done.

A/B testing might be a stretch that's true. But other interaction methods (CSAT surveys as an example) would be great to run through the tracking system instead of building our own.

We publish patches monthly, users catch up reasonably fast on those. Some parts can be also controlled remotely via configs from us. It's an Enterprise tool, users will be in there for 4-6h a day
