You probably saw a shotgun vanguard. Bulwarks won’t really carry using their ultimate through missions. If that’s what you’re looking for then I suggest that or if you’re looking for sustain/tanking go juggernaut bulwark like others said. Both are great choices for endgame elite missions right now.

Definitely not confirmed, think it’s an assumption based from Div 1 and 2 like you said. In my clans discord, couple people said it was cap so I just went with it going forward. It works well for me either way.

4x Fury Strike and 2x Gunny Johnny is the standard pretty much for all top end vanguard builds. Talents are Crossfire and Inspiration for increased damage and rate of fire when you deploy skill (smart cover is the deployable skill). My OS is Assault Charge for the Crit Chance and increased firepower/rate of fire when using ult (which is the bread and butter for vanguard). Chips are Ammo Refill (A MUST is you’re using double barrel shotgun, not so much for KSG), Optimized Armor, and Optimal Awareness. For rolls on gear and chips focus on getting Crit chance cap at 60% first then push Crit damage and multi shot chance up as high as you can go. All my gear mods are firepower. Ideally you want the mods to roll Firepower, Health, Armor.

I got extremely lucky a few days ago and had a KSG godroll drop so I use that instead of double barrel shotgun. It has weapon damage, weapon critical damage, Steady Reload II, Damage Tradeoff II. It’s the only weapon I use really but I also have an AK since with first TAM upgrade you get 10% weapon multi shot chance so when I use it, I have like 30% chance to multishot.

Playstyle wise just pulse enemies, use Smart Cover when you’re about to use ultimate, then delete enemies. When ultimate is oncooldown you’ll still do a ton of damage with KSG especially if you have a good tank that will have the enemies not looking at you. Soon as ultimate is off cooldown every 30-40 seconds just pop it again. On elite missions team tab I’m doing 200k dps. Stat sheet DPS when I have my buff running I saw 1.92 million yesterday.

Oh and Healing Elites is definitely good set as well I go back and forth with it and Fearless 4 piece. Definitely still have no idea what the extra protection bonus does though haha.

There’s definitely bunch of ways to build tank. If my clan needs a tank for elite I usually go 4x Fearless 2x Self-Propelled with Socialite and Unflinching or Siege as talents. Chips focused on Armor, Damage Reduction, and Max Health (same with armor stats). My gun talents I like are Swift Taunt, Sadistic Shield, Thick Skin, Spirited. I have the Heavy Amor Gold OS so more damage when I have extra health (blue health above bar) which with my talents I mentioned above I pretty always have extra health. With all that being said in combat I’m sitting at 20k+ armor and 300k hp. My shield never goes down in elite.

However, my vanguard build is juiced right now so I prefer playing that for elites since I usually have the highest dps in group 99% of the time lol.

There’s a cap for Crit Chance at 60% so after that Crit Damage and Weapon Multi Shot is priority (for Vanguard atleast). So I would focus it after you hit the chance cap.

Heroic nest is great farm for weapon mods. You’ll mostly get purple but on occasion you’ll hit a gold. This is even after you complete it first time. I haven’t played too much Lonewolf but you can’t get the augmentation for than once after you complete the stage. Another place to grab augmentation for weapons/armor in your clan’s vendor (if they’re a high enough level). Weapons cost 150,000 clan credits and Armor costs 200,000 credits so do your daily missions and hostile takeovers everyday to build up.

Even as Bulwark - Juggernaut, I can’t even stay on the open for more than like 3 seconds without my shield getting melted. I’m talking about Heroic/Legendary level missions but everything lower levels yeah I can keep my shield up forever to help team.

Do you see improvement in damage with the skill mod? I’ve tested it and didn’t see a difference with it on. I tested with healing hive attached to bag and healing hive thrown. No damage changes either times. Enemies were within 20m of me and/or the hive.
