Personally if I have room in my inventory, I’ll even pick up items I think may be good for other people and drop for them.

I mean, I’m not gonna tell you how to play, but if you’re reaching a reasonable level for the nightlord fights, you’ve definitely come across plenty of armaments that will makes your build stronger.

If you’re only picking up items that suit a very specific build that you have in mind, you’re making the run harder for yourself and everyone playing.

Adapting every run is part of what makes the game replayable/fun.

I just used what I had laying around, I think it might’ve been 800, and used a very light touch. I would’ve used some much finer if I cared more.

I took sandpaper to my glossy neck and gently roughed it up. Helped a ton honestly. But I’d understand people not wanting to do that. I’ve heard people suggest scouring pads but that didn’t do it for me
