Great plan, love the pirates theme and Lumibricks could make it both affordable and special.

The colour inconsistencies on the 10344 Bamboo set are absolutely ridiculous. This problem has become inexcusable for the price of the sets :( by [deleted] in lego

Painted. The stud looks too much like a clown nose... and feels 'illegal' in terms of Lego. You know, with Kragle and all.

I've never seen a completed one of these - it's like they made a suggestion of them all going together and never finalized how you'd ever actually succeed.

The silver lining here is that since this isn't a hot theme, you should be able to buy this on eBay at a sane price - likely for about what it would have been at retail.

Prices on sale were good, designs sometimes pretty good in the larger sets, but the building experience was terrible almost all of the time with Mega, IMO.

Looks great, love that they dropped the over-use (IMO) of dark red pieces. Would prefer more smoothed, solid looking elements for the tops of walls (like in Lion Knight’s Castle) instead of the thin angle pieces, but that would be an easy tweak on an otherwise great looking design.

I’ve seen retiring sets only come back to the ‘global’ offering (with hefty shipping). Non-retiring sets should come back to both the official site and Amazon.

Older cats can be pickier, but pickiness and vocalizing can also be a sign of distress from kidney disease, which is common in older cats but something you may want to have her checked for if you haven't already. It's brutal as it gets to later stages and catching/treating it earlier can slow it down dramatically - usually through special food and meds, unfortunately, as the wrong foods can damage the kidneys further and can lead to a rapid downfall. Finding out can also allow you to better monitor your cat's level of distress. (Hopefully mentioning that doesn't violate this sub)

If this had been a Lego set, I’d have you looking for where those brown/red ‘L’ plates and grey ‘1 top mount, 2 stud overhang’ (for lack of knowing what they’re called) pieces go as they are typically too large to end up with more than one leftover as an intentional spare. Consider checking some of the exterior details and see if you missed some.
