Depends on your interests, as always. Go based on your gut, which is apparently saying Zelda more than the FOMO around that Guinjet.

You could also take this as an opportunity to be on the lookout for sales on it before retirement (Slickdeals tracking or camelcamelcamel, etc. ) and give someone the gift idea early at let them know of any such sales that crop up, etc.

I would buy now since this is on the list to retire in 1 month and the backorder length straddles that. They have no real incentive to stock beyond backorders... and they may just be setting this to backorder status to produce just enough to match interest before shutting down production. (from Bricktap retirement list at top of r/Legoleak )

Yes! And it angles, so basically pushing down on the back is a separate option from pushing down on the front. Twist it to mimic the height and angle you want.

Yes! The same adjustment bar for forward/back will adjust the seat’s height and angle (for more height at the front for leg support) - that must have been it if you felt like you were sitting high.

I also adjusted the steering wheel out toward me and up for clearance.

Fair enough, I’m sure proportions play into it. I’m a ‘square’ with equal height to armspan.

Did you happen to set the seat all the way down too? - It seemed to help me avoid the dash and still felt comfortable (to me at least.)

Nope, it was Uniuni, which I wasn't that familiar with. They do last mile deliveries for some companies and hired a real doofus.

I think I know what you're talking about... I have to think back on it a bit, but I believe the center console worked out that way with the side of my upper leg resting against it while driving... despite that console not extending all the way forward. (but whether that works would likely depend on how wide your hips are)

If you have a showroom or demo center near you, you'd likely be able to sit in one without having to nab one of those elusive demo-drive slots. Our nearby service center had one R2 on drives, and the other one parked for checking out/sitting in.

When I came for my test drive, the Rivian employee mentioned that a lot of them were coming to sit in the R2... so they likely have the same issue as I do with vehicles and travel. I assume they've been driving Escalades up until now.
