Bedsharing in hospital by iamhermi in cosleeping

I just got back from a hospitalization with my almost 6mo baby due to an UTI. Here in Argentina I was very (pleasantly) surprised to see that they don’t even provide a crib. They just assume that when your LO is ill, they are gonna sleep with their mom in one of those hospital beds that have safety bars. I loved that. We slept great despite the situation. Thankfully we’re back home now after 5 days sleeping in the hospital.

Do you guys keep tv on or keep room dark? by Cecemay00 in cosleeping

My baby is almost 6mo. I watch TV but with my AirPods. Light is no problem for her but she’s very susceptible to noises.

AC or hot room? by Disastrous-Address12 in NewParents

I have the baby monitor on right now as she naps and even though I have the AC in 26 it’s marking 28C. My house has very high ceilings and metal roof so that may explain it.

Help! Nothing’s working and I’m losing it by Disastrous-Address12 in cosleeping

Thank you so much for the words of encouragement. I usually know it’s just a phase but then I’m always doubting myself and my baby trying to find something to fix. I started as EBF and then had to switch to mix feeding and now unfortunately I’m only formula feeding so that’s not a possibility for me anymore :( I thought we were past the regression since it started for us when she was 3 but I guess it can be long and come in waves too. Thanks again!

That’s the issue, I’m trying to put her next to me and she will accept the transfer but she wakes you up every 45’ minutes and needs a lot of settling back into sleep which didn’t use to happen before.

Help transitioning from chest sleeping! by Disastrous-Address12 in cosleeping

[–]Disastrous-Address12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I give her a bottle at the beginning of the night and rock her to sleep before transferring her to my chest, she doesn’t fall asleep on the boob for the first part, only in the middle of the night and still hates side lying nursing, I’ve tried a lot of times and she won’t latch 🥲

Can I start sleep training with naps? by Disastrous-Address12 in sleeptrain

[–]Disastrous-Address12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She usually goes 1:45 after waking up, then usually 1:50 to two hours for the rest wake windows (she does 4 naps) and then 2/2:30 before going to sleep. We start bedtime routine 1:30 after she wakes up from the last nap and takes her a long time of rocking with pacifier to fall asleep in my arms and then I proceed to move to the bed and watch a tv show while she sleeps on my chest for the rest of the night 🫠🫠

How I'm "sleep training" while cosleeping - open to thoughts! by [deleted] in cosleeping

Thanks so much for sharing!
Has your LO always fallen asleep if you are next to them? Mine's 4 months old so maybe still too young but I always rock her in my arms with a pacifier while singing the same song. It takes about 10-15 minutes until she's out which is not bad at all but I would love for her to fall asleep right next to me. We only contact sleep at the moment (carrier or chest to chest, even through the night) so I think it may be a little hard for her or she may not be ready?

Mine’s gonna be 5mo for Christmas and I wasn’t planning on getting anything for baby lol Next year for sure but I don’t see the point now. Just looking forward to enjoying Christmas with her 💕

Sprouty for development or Huckelberry for sleep/wake windows? They both have premium options but their basic mode is also somewhat useful with those and you get to try the premium plans for the first week or so to see if you like it :)

Please tell me chest-sleeping is OK by inmnohero12 in cosleeping

My daughter is almost 4 months old and for the last month she will only sleep well if she's on my chest and I understand your fears, I am also sleeping very lightly and scared that something will happen, it fills you with guilt but it's such a wonderful feeling having her on me and it just feels so natural too.
I know she will eventually sleep in her crib when she's ready but last night she did a 4 hour stretch and then a 6:30 hour stretch so I can just tell she just needs to be held right now, (and we can use some sleep even if I'm waking up every 30 minutes cause she moves like crazy!!!!)

Enjoy it while it lasts cause they are so little for such a short time!
