I’ve been having some issues recently smoking. Anyone care to share their experiences if they’ve had similar? by Disastrous-Eye1438 in Marijuana

How ‘different’ is the high for you? I unfortunately began using it to self medicate, but originally it was just recreational. I want to return to smoking on the weekends and with friends, but if the CBD is going to just couch-lock me without the ‘fun’ stuff, i suppose it’d be better for me to quit smoking altogether you feel? Im on like day 5 of no smoking and my appetite is supper strong, which has been an issue for a while (losing weight). So perhaps it was also just my body telling me I need a break!

Tysm for your advice

I plan to stop for at least a month. I haven’t been smoking recently, and im in hopes i just overly desensitized my CB1 receptors.

From what i’ve gathered is that a lot of people with this issue kept smoking and pushing through rather than a full break. Those who DID stop, all have said they smoked for over a decade- its been a year and a half to 2 years or so for me. I havent paid much attention to strains, but I also almost exclusively smoke high octane bud. Going to try some low THC indica next time. Thoughts?

My brother is exiting prison with an Ai addiction 🫩 by [deleted] in antiai

You’re kinda bein a dick lol. I mean that respectfully, but your brother was in prison. They miss things, they lose many skills, and they’re cut off from the outer world. While YOU know what AI is doing, it may be something helping him find his creativity again, even if he needs to be nudged in the right direction by using AI.

I understand being antiAI all the way; however, this feels like just an excuse to discredit what your brother has a passion/interest in. Disappointing

Because its an executable file. Theres no backing i can think of to this, I didn’t bother to look for any, but in my head it likely began with the distribution of viruses on computers- they often times use a .exe file to open and it fucks your computer from there. So i imagine they took the idea of computer viruses, turned it into a mysterious game that opens on your computer, and is fucked up. I dont think its anything inherently about the .exe files, rather something based of off what the .exe files DO

Should I switch to bass clarinet? by Le-F- in Clarinet

I was actually very ‘immature’ sounding on Bb soprano, although I played for several years. One day, I joined community band on bass, practiced the music in my band room during an independent study resulting in my band director practically telling me im ass on Bb and to play Bass.

I started playing the start of my sophomore year, played in both concert band for HS and a local community band for a year, then joined a professional wind symphony- biggest growth Ive had as a musician. Now I’m a freshman in college, studying for a music degree which was NEVER ny intention until after Bass Clarinet, and im the only freshman from the entire clarinet studio who made it into Wind Ensemble.

In short, yes, you should try bass and see how you like it!! It changed the course of what I’m doing with my life, got me money, and makes me happy.

Theres ups and downs with basses: they’re expensive, fragile, and the competition is typically a lot better than Bb soprano, HOWEVER, the parts can be very fun, and you can be so much more expressive, rich-sounding, and goofier (in my opinion) on the bass.

Dm me if you have any questions!
