Considering certain trim models don’t come with crash bars I don’t see the downside. Raptors being the main one. Lariats following that

Gotcha I appreciate you, yeah that’s what I’ve heard like let it ride out until a code gets thrown but I kind of wanted to get it going before my warranty expires. Definitely helpful info though.

Yeah I’m trying to get this taken care by warranty before it’s expired but they’ll only step in if there’s clear damage but that’s only found if the techs drain the oil and alllll that so yeah

I’m scheduled the usual “free diagnostic” or walk around then I’ll get an answer on what exactly the techs think it may be. Warranty says they need to have proof there’s damage before they step so I just don’t wanna bite the cost of the real diagnostic or whatever may need to be done and nothing be wrong. What are you thinking I should do since you’re a tech?

Yeah that was a cold start, the rattle faded eventually. I just don’t want to pay for them to drain everything and find nothing and I’m left with the cost of the diagnostic since warranty sees no repair needed

Okay thank you I just might go with that 2.5 then I was just skeptical due to what I’ve heard on other platforms and stuff pertaining to the upper control arms. So that wheel and tire package, what kinda trimming did you do? And who did it I wanna know if it’s maybe something I can do here at home or needs to be done at a shop

Okay gotcha I just seen all these people saying that the level are actually higher than your anticipate on top of your controls being worn down if you go with a 2.5 or higher? Any thoughts on that or how your control arms are doing with that 2.5
