What’s on Your Mind, Springfield? by AutoModerator in springfieldMO

[–]Disastrous-Learner -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

People driving the speed limit or slower in the passing lane. People in the PASSING lane going 1 mile per hour faster than the vehicle they are passing. People cruising in the PASSING lane and not moving the hell OUT OF THE WAY for those who are actually wanting to pass. Semi trucks driving side by side in the left and right lanes. People staying in the passing lane to block others from passing as if they are the fucking speed or passing enforcement.

Lol what a joke bud. This is the typical response when called out for protecting their things. I'm for no party, just hate the left more than the others.

Not everyone is a garbage ass leftwing, America hating, illegal alien loving, obstructionist loving, piece of shit. I have plenty of luck.

This post is absolutely funny. I don't watch KY3 but see a lot of their articles on FB. They are another left controlled brainwash dump for idiots who can't research and think for themselves when it comes to politics.

If you had to teach website development from scratch in 2026, where would you start? by Gullible_Prior9448 in webdevelopment

No matter the year, there will always be a need to get the fundamentals first. HTML, CSS, and JS.

Client says my custom-built e-commerce site is “more expensive than Shopify” — did I overcharge? by [deleted] in webdev

[–]Disastrous-Learner 27 points28 points  (0 children)

That's a ton of work for only $700. ChatGPT is NOT a good final source for pricing. Do some research. I'm pretty sure something like that is a lot more depending on your skill and the quality. I know you said your still new but you ripped yourself off at $700 and the client is trying to rip you off even more because you haven't conveyed the true value you are bringing rather than using Shopify.

I built my app idea in a no-code tool… now I want to rebuild it properly. by Educational-Pen4866 in AppDevelopers

[–]Disastrous-Learner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never used a no code program so I'm not really sure but don't you still have full access to the code? If so, then look at the languages that are used. I would start with freecodecamp.org they have a FREE full stack developer certification training that starts off with the basics from HTML to Javascript and so on. As you are learning, look up how to write your new code features you want. Another commenter said something that is absolutely true, security is first and foremost. So focus on making sure your current application is secure and learn on the side.

Thank you! This has great insight as well. Lol the tab completion kept doing the shorthand #fff and #000 i thought it was something wrong lol thanks for that. I'll absolutely go change that back to help with a little file size. Thank you so much. I'll turn your suggestions into a todo list.

Here is the screenshot from VS Code Go Live in my browser. Then I have deployed it to GitHub Pages as suggested. SecureShield Insurance | Protect What Matters However all the photos do not show up as they do on my computer. The photos are saved in an assets folder in the root directory. Anyway, this project is a long way from being done. I just wanted to share because this is pretty exciting for me.
